The property needed upgrading and there was no room service, cleaning etc in the rhree nights we were there

Rooms were lovely

Easy walking distance from transport and shopping

At 5pm our room was ready even though check in was from 3pm. Check in took ages....

Check-In wäre um 15:00 Uhr gewesen. Einchecken konnten wir erst um 16:15 Uhr. Gründe wurden keine genannt. Das Hotel kam uns auch absolut nicht entgegen (evtl. einen Gratis Drink als Entschädigung oder so). Das Zimmer hatte eine gute grösse war jedoch nicht wirklich sauber. Wir hatten drei Übernachtungen. An keinem Tag hatten wir Zimmerservice. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten alle nicht sehr zufrieden und grüssten die Gäste nicht mal zurück. Die Lage ist in Ordnung. Ruhig und sicher und nicht zu weit weg vom Zentrum. Zudem ist der Anschluss an die ÖV gegeben. Fazit: Preis-Leistungs-Verhältniss hat absolut nicht gepasst.

Service was not so good as we expect. Value for money doesn’t work at all. We were disappointed about cleaning service, they forgot to make the room. we came back to the room after 10pm and it was impossible to ask them to clean the room. The location is moderate, around 30 min to the city Center, however it is close to Dean village.

Room was a front of hotel, lot of continuous from ducting/equipment. Toilet seat broken, could be cleaner long hair on shower wall. Tired decoration. Expensive for what it is.

The hotel was very busy due to an event in the city. Our room was small, sparsely furnished and not overly clean. The bed was small. The bed linen and towels were clean. The curtain did not cover the window so had we not been awoken by bins being emptied early in the morning, the sunlight would have done it. There were stains on the bedroom walls, the lift resembled a cell block, complete with scratched in graffiti. The toilet only flushed if you turned the handle nearly 360 degrees. Despite check out being at 10am, a housekeeper entered our room at 9.30am and was surprised to see me getting ready. After overhearing the receptionist saying the hotel was full, there was no point complaining, as we had an event to attend and were on a tight schedule. We paid over £300 for the displeasure of staying here - as an event was happening nearby. If you enjoy a nice stay in a hotel, consider going elsewhere.

Food buffet was good but a bit disorganised. Bed is ok, room spacious. Clean. Hotel is very dated from outside but not as bad inside. Stay was fine really. Location is lovely and quiet and a 15min walk to haymarket

Really good location for walking from Murrayfield. We were back 30 mins after the concert. Only negative was that our toilet didn't flush.

Helt ok, kan vel kalle det ett slitt hotell. Men ok rom. Ok frokost. Fin beliggenhet. Koselig bakgård mot elven. Grei avstand til haymarket og sentrum forøvrig.

Unfriendly staff apart from one gentleman on reception. Rooms very tired and dated, very hot and the bed was very uncomfortable. Will never stay again

The hotel is due for a remodel, and is showing its age, but don't let that discourage you. The staff were great, and were always friendly, warm and welcoming. The room we had was fairly spacious and clean. The morning buffet didn't serve any surprises, but the food was decent, affordable and filled us up. Would stay again.

Can’t believe we paid £380 for a one night stay here no breakfast included. Room was small only two sockets in the room to use Walls paper thin so got no sleep Typical example of ripping people off because there was a gig on We stayed in Cardiff two weeks previously and the room was immaculate compared to this and only £120 including breakfast and yes there was a gig in Cardiff but we did not get robbed Would never stay here again

Disappointed the breakfast wasn’t included for the price. Noisy room as based on the 3rd floor.

Out of Edinburgh city centre, need transport or taxi clean, tidy, staff were friendly and efficient

No access to rooms early. Came in off a red eye and requested early access to room if available. No response from hotel on email. Was able to check in bags to a secured room and comeback at 3pm First room was a double bed (booked 2 singles) Second room was given but beds were like sleeping on a box spring. Very uncomfortable and worn Happy to leave after 2 nights and find better accommodation for the same price Would not stay there or recommend to anyone 30min walk to downtown Edinburgh
