DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central

Attended a bit party that weekend. Stay was good, pool, steam room and gym were ok.

Very nice, good around hotel, felt well looked after

enjoyed our stay in a very central location, clean room , good breakfast, only drawback was WIFI which was iffy, thought connected speed was questionable

Great location, super size of room and excellent use of gym/ pool. Very close to Theatre Royal and shopping.

Room was not cleaned properly, stains on table etc We were rudely awoken by the fir alarm going off due to people smoking in the rooms Was not a good experience at all

Hotel was welcoming and stylish. Very convenient for going out into the city centre and for shopping. Even though there was a boxing tournament on it was very quiet and we weren't disturbed.

Fire alarm went off. Intruders entereed our room at 1am in morning....drunk homeless couple asking for alcohol. Informed and alerted reception immediatly. 20 minutes later drunk homeless couple tried to reenter room and every other room on floor. Staff escorted couple out of hotel and we believe police we called. Prank call at 7am. No coffee/hot chocolate in hot drinks machine. No juice or glasses available initially at breakfast. Had to ask for beans and bacon to be restocked

Great staff, restaurant & bar. Had a fire alarm at 11.30pm, stood in queue on stairs for over 5 minutes thankfully there was no fire. Fire Brigade had already arrived before we had reached the ground floor.

Very central, lovely spacious room. Very friendly staff.

No staff at the pool reception

The hotel beds are very comfortable although the pillows extremely soft, with no other option. Air con & heating in the room is a great feature, black out curtains and little noise heard in the rooms. The restaurant menu isn't great & the food not up to much, I would avoid eating there if you can. Tried ordering room service but couldn't get anyone to answer the phones. Breakfast is generic hotel buffet with limited healthy options. The in room toiletries are lovely & the pool with steam room are adequate for a hotel.

Regrettable. We had a lovely theatre trip but chose the wrong hotel. We also complained to management as daughter had slip in the swimming changing rooms and attendant was not engaged/supportive or quick to respond to our suggestion of getting someone in to dry the place down and assess the safety. She had hit her head and there was absolutely no concern for her. I asked to complete an incident form when reporting at front desk. The gluten free breakfast was difficult to manage - there was no simple list and we had to speak with multiple staff to arrange our choices - I had asked at the desk on arrival the day before and was assured there would be a gluten free section but there was not. The server made reference to an area sometimes being there but not that day. We could not find it then was told it did not exist. Overall it was not a relaxing stay at all. At least the theatre knew how to show a fun time! I am beyond disappointed ! The hotel receptionist did a very good job and so compliments to them.

Check in was fantastic, however bar service is painfully slow, with bar staff serving people that have just arrived at the bar whilst I was stood for about 5 minutes. Woken up this morning (Sunday) at 650am to load music playing for about an hour too. Didn’t think that this hotel would allow that sort of thing to happen.

Absolutely loved it, went for my birthday the room was beautiful and very comfortable bed, staff are very helpful and food was lovely

Limited dining ...restaurant in the hotel had a menu like a pub..the choices were pub food and the food itself was very bland and expensive for what it was. Expected much more from a Hilton that charges top prices. Would have been better eating at a witherspoons.Wont stay again.

Staff was excellent. Elevators were iffy. 1/2 didn’t work for a day. My shower knob was broken and would constantly fall and make a loud thud on the floor.

Very central for shopping and entertainment. Couldn’t fault anything.

myself my daughter and grandauhgter stayed for 1 night for my daughters birthday it was a great stay untill breakfast where we were asked to sit in the bar and have it but when we went in to the breakfast area there was plenty of tables all set up and about another 29 people at least were seated in that area straight after us we got refunded a small amount but to be treated so differant from everyone else was terrible it was like the film pretty woman where julia roberts was treated like dirt in a cloths shop feeling like dirt i will never forget this bad experience and will never go back to this hotel my daughter books allot of her clients into these hilton hotels regular and is also going to rethink this as she was disgustered as well.
