The Lane Hotel

No air con,terrible mattress,1 roll of toilet paper ...as paying guests we couldnt get a drink in the bar after 22.00hrs ...for the price we paid i would have expected slippers & bath robes,& mini fridge...no choice at breakfast for sweetener for coffee..very disappointed as was really looking for a boutique stay..bathroom gorgous on the upside

This is a top place to stay the night or a couple . Room was really nice amd clean and the pub downstairs is just brilliant. Keep you reading the walls for hours with historic bits and bobs.

Lovely staff, beautiful pub/restaurant and room was a luxury

We stayed here for our last night before flying back to Canada. It is a cute boutique hotel, but is seeing some wear and tear. The attached pub is fantastic and has a great authentic neighborhood feel. The staff are excellent.

Jättefint, rent och fräscht rum men dyrt. Receptionen och frukosten var i en mycket mysig pub bredvid.

Amazing and charming hotel.

Very smart, clean and comfortable. Great location and part of The Canny Man's pub restaurant which is an experience all of it's own!! Staff very helpful and friendly.

The Lane is a classic, comfortable, charming hotel on a quiet street, perfect for a sweet getaway.

Excellent rooms with a great pub and restaurant downstairs. This is the second time I have stayed here and my third visit will be next week. So handy for local shopping in Morningside and Bruntsfield and on good bus routes for the rest of Edinburgh

The homeness and comfiness and the cleanliness it smelled lovely. Would definitely stay again, perfect area.

Great place to stay. Recommend mentioning that if guests wish to have evening meal in the Canny Man pub it is advisable to book in advance. We didn't but although we eventually got a table, had to be squeezed in between existing tables after a 10 minute uncertain wait.

Beautiful place to stay. Morningside feels safe and easy to access. Lots of coffee shops and places to eat. Highly recommend The Lane Hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful and I'd definitely book again any time!

We enjoyed our stay, staff were so helpful. We did have concerns about parking, but it turned out ok. Hopefully in the future we will be back again, and we would'nt hesitate to recommend it.

Facilities were nice but bed was very uncomfortable and it’s a little ways away from the center of town. Pretty expensive for what it is

Sehr nettes kleines Boutique Hotel mit schönem Pub gleich nebenan (gleicher Besitzer). Schick eingerichtet, Parken kein Problem, sehr nette Gegend mit guter Busanbindung ans Zentrum/ fussläufig ca 40 Min. Preislich eher oberes Ende, aber es war Hochsaison. Kein Frühstücksangebot, aber das wussten wir vorher und es gibt viele nette Cafés direkt ums Eck.
