Very quick check-in and rooms are clean, cute, and comfortable. The location is excellent, with lots of great food and coffee shops around open all day. Will definitely be back!

Staff - very helpful and service-minded with smile
Hotel - the hotel itself looks nice but with limited parking space at the road in front of hotel.
Room - The room is good but should have the hair dryer. The fridge takes some time to cool. The wall is thin within the hotel; when someone talks only in a normal voice level at the hallway, you will hear it clearly like they talk in your room so it’s kind of disturbing and that they should put up a sign in the hallway for visitor to be aware about this and also not to make loud noise. However, in the opposite, if the noise is from outside like the day we went that they have live band playing in front of hotel. You barely hear it in your room which is good.
Location - near great coffee shop in 1 minutes walk and the food stall is opposite the hotel. Great location. Not far from subway (450 m to Bendameer station)

Das Hotel liegt in mitten einer mittelmäßigen Geschäftslage.
Das Zimmer war maximal zweckmäßig, keine gute Preis-/Leistung.
Daher sind wir auch nur eine Nacht geblieben.
Dank dem Hotelmanager u. Expedia konnten wir umbuchen. Tolles Entgegenkommen.

I had to book this hotel last minute from Canada for my daughter who was in Singapore. I actually called the front desk at midnight their time and they were so helpful and although they couldn't beat expedia prices they waited on the phone while I booked everything through Expedia - my daughter arrived a few minutes after I booked and said the place and the people were just amazing. Their balcony looked over a soccer pitch and they loved that. I would recommend for sure. I was really impressed with everything booking to the quality to the people.

Das Personal ist super nett und zuvorkommend.
Das Zimmer war geräumig für eine Person und schön eingerichtet.
Das Bett war sehr gemütlich und man konnte gut drin schlafen.
Ich hatte einen kleinen Balkon und konnte auch Mal draußen sitzen.
Die MRT Station Bendemeer ist auch nicht weit entfernt und man ist schnell in der Stadt.
Ich kann das Hotel weiter empfehlen.

Good location and very affordable, at least for the Singapore standards. Near the underground and not far away from the downtown, if you like to walk. However it can be noisy at the night time as the condition of the building is not the best (you will hear water flowing inside the pipes and other people even if they talk normally). Staff at reception is amazing and very helpful. Overall I’m happy with it.

The Hotel Yan is like a backpakers hotel for adults. The price of the rooms is very good, but they are very small. If you are traveling light you and your bags will fit in the room. The staff is great and always available. The area is very close to public transport and great food.

Single room occupancy, which means tight corners. That said, excellent design in maximizing utility of space available. While one has to climb up small flight of stairs to the single bed, the space below fits small desk, a chair, a sofa, & (below the stairs) even a safe! Tiny fridge under the sink, which stands behind a separate shower stall (next to it a different toilet stall). Definitely great find for the solo budget traveler.

compared to US hotels I'd give it a lower rating since the room was small comparatively and not much privacy (bathroom had see through walls with only a curtain to block from the rest of the room)
HOWEVER, I understand it's another country with different standards, especially singapore where things I assume are smaller since land is more expensive, and houses/apts are smaller in general so I feel it's unfair to compare it like that. We also didn't spend much time in the hotel since we were out all the time, so the
They had great hotel service, helped us quickly when we asked, in a great location (close to hawker centers, bus/mrt stops)
But yeah anyways, my friend says 11/10 and I'll probably say 8/10

Good location and very affordable, at least for the Singapore standards. Near the underground and not far away from the downtown, if you like to walk. However it can be noisy at the night time as the condition of the building is not the best (you will hear water flowing inside the pipes and other people even if they talk normally). Staff at reception is amazing and very helpful. Overall I’m happy with it.

The Hotel Yan is like a backpakers hotel for adults. The price of the rooms is very good, but they are very small. If you are traveling light you and your bags will fit in the room. The staff is great and always available. The area is very close to public transport and great food.

Single room occupancy, which means tight corners. That said, excellent design in maximizing utility of space available. While one has to climb up small flight of stairs to the single bed, the space below fits small desk, a chair, a sofa, & (below the stairs) even a safe! Tiny fridge under the sink, which stands behind a separate shower stall (next to it a different toilet stall). Definitely great find for the solo budget traveler.

compared to US hotels I'd give it a lower rating since the room was small comparatively and not much privacy (bathroom had see through walls with only a curtain to block from the rest of the room)
HOWEVER, I understand it's another country with different standards, especially singapore where things I assume are smaller since land is more expensive, and houses/apts are smaller in general so I feel it's unfair to compare it like that. We also didn't spend much time in the hotel since we were out all the time, so the
They had great hotel service, helped us quickly when we asked, in a great location (close to hawker centers, bus/mrt stops)
But yeah anyways, my friend says 11/10 and I'll probably say 8/10

Very clean, but the rooms are a bit small. It is in a quiet area with easy access to the subway and a variety of good restaurants and bars nearby. We would recommend it.
