J’ai beaucoup aimé ce Parador situé dans les remparts de baiona à une trentaine de kms de Guarda, ville frontière avec le Portugal. Chambre avec vue mer pas très grande mais la vue sur les rochers (et pas vue mer « morte ») était splendide ! Salle de bains un peu vieillotte mais elle a fait le job Belle terrasse. Personnel au top Excellent petit déjeuner semblable aux autres paradors. Restaurant moyen. Parking facile d’accès et gratuit. Beaucoup de pèlerins en provenance du Portugal?

Location, location location. An historic place, located in a peninsula ((guess it was an island before), very close to the beach promenade. Luscious grounds and breathtaking views of the bay. The views from our window were spectacular. Hotel is well kept. Staff is professional and corteous, a little dry on the front desk, but not so at the restaurant and bar, where the staff was always smiling and helpful. Very refreshing. Our room was spacious and well appointed, with gorgeous views. Breakfast was very good. My only suggestion is to have freshly squeezed orange juice, like they have i other Paradores. But if you are considering Baiona, this is the place to stay.

Vue magnifique depuis notre chambre. Excellent petit déjeuner. Parking dans l’enceinte du Parador. Un sans faute. On ne peut que conseiller. Magnifique route jusqu’à la frontière portugaise à ne pas manquer !

On our travels some places make an instant impression when you first see them, and Baiona did so in a most positive way. There is a large headland reaching out from the village, with intact castellations from an old fort going all around it. Our hotel, the Parador, is built on part of the old fort and covers a large area within the walls; and if the approach to the village made a positive impression, the approach to the Parador did so in spades. This is a grand, classy hotel both inside and out, and with terraces, lawns and footpaths all around, the views of the sea, the coast and the islands are fantastic. Our basic double room was spacious, well decorated and furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good with a relatively small buffet, which is augmented by hot items you can order from the waitress. I had some fried eggs with bacon which were delicious. We loved discovering Baiona for the first time and staying in this wonderful Parador made it even more special.

Booked suite with sea view for partners birthday. Very large double bedroom, sitting room, bathroom with jacuzzi bath and hallway. Fantastic sea views towards Cabo Silleiro. The parador, its grounds and surrounding area on the promontory offer great walks. Wonderful buffet breakfast, even cava for birthday! Lovely terrace for drinks looking towards Isles de Cies, Monteferro, right round to Sabaris and Baiona. Sampled terrace menu, beautiful fresh tuna salad and galician pizza. Would love to stay again. Only disappointment hotel charged credit card day before check in when agreement, via Expedia, was for payment in Euros on check in.

What a great hotel in a wonderful location by the sea. This is the 17th Parador we have stayed in and is the best for service by far! Despite being incredibly busy on the last Sunday in May, the Patador de Baiona team were great from the moment we arrived to the minute we left, two days later. The receptionist and porter were really helpful, as my wife is disabled and got us conveniently parked and safely to our comfortable and well appointed room, with a fantastic shower and bathroom and a great view over the castle walls to a nearby sandy and rocky beach. Silvea in the bar was helpful and friendly from our first visit to our last. The breakfast team were fantastic, despite being incredibly busy on both mornings, Veronica welcomed is and quickly found us a table, as she did with a smile and chat with everybody else! We were only there for a minute or two and Govi was thete to offer us tea or coffee and then take our order for eggs etc - the whole team could be seen working together to make sure everyone had a nice breakfast! What an example for many of the other Paradores, where you have to seek out someone to let you into the breakfast room and then beg them for tea or eggs etc... The swimming pool opened on the second day we stayed and was efficiently staffed with nice yellow towels and a helpful attendant who sorted out the large umbrellas and kept a watchful eye on the large, very pleasant and spotlessly clean pool. An altogether brilliant stay, thanks to all involved!

Hotel é bonito e amplo, porem as acomodacoes ja estao precisando de manutencao. Quartos amplos, mas sao antigos. Mofo na parede do quarto proximo ao banheiro. Moveis descascando. Cama otima. Cafe da manha farto, porem os itens nao sao tao saborosos. Localizaçao fantastica com vista incrivel. O hotel é sede de eventos e convencoes. Qdo chegamos, estava tao cheio que nao tinja estacionamento disponivel, apesar de enorme.

I stayed at the Parador de Baiona for two nights expecting the premium tier of hospitality and rest that the Parador network explicitly brands itself on. Instead, my stay was a series of compounding failures, culminating in a shocking lack of professional service recovery. My first night was disrupted until 1:00 AM by unruly guests due to a total lack of quiet-hour enforcement. My second night featured a massive radio event right outside the window. While the front desk reception team was very kind and proactively changed my room to remedy the noise, my new room on the morning of check-out had a completely non-functioning shower and hairdryer. When I brought this fundamental infrastructure failure to the attention of the on-site manager, Jesus, his response was adversarial and entirely unacceptable for a four-star hotel. Rather than taking accountability for the lack of a basic necessity like a working shower, he defensively insinuated that I had broken the fixture myself and asserted that it was “impossible” for housekeeping to verify all room appliances. He dismissed the issue entirely, offering a nominal dinner discount, and his aggressive, unhelpful attitude left me in visible tears at the front desk. While the general reception staff was wonderful, the local management’s behaviour was appalling. A functioning shower is a baseline expectation for any lodging, let alone a luxury tier establishment. I left this property exhausted, distressed, and deeply disappointed.

A localização do Parador é espetacular. A equipe muito simpática, o café da manhã ótimo e as acomodações, excelentes. Super recomendo! ! !

Absolutely beautiful property, iconic and a must stay! It was just so disappointing that our lunch meals and service were the worst I have ever experienced from such a quality hotel. All the food was just slapped on the plate, absolutely no presentation, club sandwiches were soggy and tasteless, hamburger was raw and had to be returned, no apologies, had to ask the waiter for more wine. Really think that management need to be more onto this, give this beautiful place the respect that it deserves!

One of the most extraordinary hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Simply devine in every aspect and the price of under $200 US was insane. Must be considered one of the 10 best hotels in Europe.

Amazing stay to start my Camino walk. The hotel is beautiful with amazing views and helpful staff. Breakfast was superb with many choices. The location was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!
