Parador de Mojácar

No complaints at all

Breakfast was too expensive at 19€ so ate elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. No air con. No pool. Heating was on even though the outside temp was 26° plus. Staff gave us a fan but we still had to sleep with the door open as no opening windows. Staff very friendly. However, I felt the hotel was far too expensive for what we had. I checked several nearby hotels that were as good and we're €50 a night cheaper. In all we had a good stay but overpriced and lacking basic amenities such as air con and swimming pool.

Clean large room

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. I made the mistake of thinking that the Parador would be in the old town but it's not, it's on the Playa de Mojacar (beach) about a 10 minute car ride away. But it worked out fine. Breakfast was excellent by the way!

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was on the lowest floor, right next to the road. Had we been staying longer than one night, I would have tried to swap rooms for on higher up with a proper view of the sea. We ate in the restaurant in the hotel and were very disappointed, it was very harshly lit, looked like a school canteen and it was freezing, I watch as others came in and shivered and put on coats and cardigans - we did ask the staff if they could do something about the air conditioning. We did not enjoy our meal there, my partner asked for his steak medium rare, but it was just seared and raw inside, even after we sent it back. I did not enjoy my choice of food and left most of it. So would not recommend for an evening meal. However breakfast was another matter, we got to sit out on the balcony, the food was lovely and fresh, though served in odd little portions and orders for cooked breakfast taken at the table and freshly cooked.

Whole hotel was spotless and all staff very friendly. Room was great with nice balcony, overlooking rear garden area. It seems that most rooms are same size but the sea view rooms that were more expensive looked more old fashioned ! I prefered our more modern room ! Car parking is limited even in October but plenty just outside gates on playa. A little downside is no free water in room but lots shops to get from, it seems essential that to drink water to stay hydrated in the heat !! I love the paradors. Unfortunately, the service in the restaurant/bar was compromised because the servers were scheduled too thin.

From friendly staff to the cleanliness of this hotel it was 1st class. Only disappointment was the breakdast was very ordinary. Limited hot options unlike many other hotels. 5 stars for the hotel and unfortunately id give 2 for the breakfast.

Good quality buffet breakfast, excellent dinning in the restaurant, with wonderful service from all the staff throughout the hotel in all departments. Large suite with great facilities. If I could say something negative the bathroom could do with an update, nothing wrong with the Roca fittings just a little dated so not really any issue more preference. Outdoor grounds very extensive and immaculate. Good sized outdoor pool and plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Special mention to the lifeguard who could not do enough for everyone and constantly worked hard all day. Reception staff could not of been any more helpful and professional. The cleaning staff could not have done a better job. All in we could not fault our stay and we can recommend that you will not be disappointed if you decide to book.

Lovely hotel. The first hotel on Mojacar Playa and has obviously been well maintained and renovated over the years.

Great property and great landscaping. Parking was easy. However, if you're looking for a nice cup of coffee in the morning and you did not get the breakfast buffet.You can't even buy a cup of coffee on site. Mercedes And Vanessa were the two most rude hotel personnel we came across in our two weeks on the road. Dinner was just ok

We had an amazing time at this wonderful hotel. We have stayed in many paradors and this is definitely one of the best. The staff are extremely professional and friendly especially Christina who is an asset to the hotel , she was extremely helpful and very good at her job! Breakfast was extremely good with plenty of choice on offer. The room was incredibly clean and the beds very comfortable with very good linen. The pool attendant was very helpful and the pool towels were good quality and readily available . The hotel cat Marianna gave us a lovely greeting and made it a pleasure when we walked in every evening . We will definitely return . Thank you .
