Best place during my Sri Lanka holidays, hidden gem with amazing beach/pool area and very friendly staff.

Positiv: Schöne Lage am Strand. Negativ: Im Hotel lebt(e) eine sehr freundliche Straßenhündin, die vom Personal wiederholt vertrieben und geschlagen wurde. Nach Gesprächen mit Manager und Besitzer wurde mir zugesagt, dies künftig zu unterlassen und Schilder „Bitte nicht füttern“ zu bestellen. Trotzdem habe ich den Eindruck, dass das Problem nicht nachhaltig gelöst wird. Der Besitzer baut zudem ein weiteres Hotel am gleichen Strandabschnitt, wodurch sich die Situation für Hunde künftig eher verschärfen könnte. Fazit: Wer Wert auf tierschutzgerechten Umgang legt, sollte dieses Hotel meiden.

Superb room .. uniterupted ocean view , the pool is amazing, fantastic team who made our stay special ... even offering suggestions so that chef would cook to your tastes .the team made the deam work ... thank you guys :) michael and helen Australia

The manager and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is amazing with a nice restaurant the food was very good. We went to see the turtle in the evening in the nearby beach thank to the hint from the manager. We also had an wonderful afternoon boat trip around the lagoon Breakfast was superb Very very happy Thank you!!

This was a wonderful hotel: clean; quiet; relaxing; spacious, comfortable and well equipped room; friendly, helpful and professional staff; amazing food with plenty of vegan options; beautiful beachside location; convenient for the Rekawa Turtle Watch and Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary.

This was a peaceful haven on the beach with wonderful staff, rooms and food.

The hotel has the most beautiful location

The most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our 2 week trip in Sri Lanka. The pool is great, but the beach is just to die for. Miles of empty beach in both directions from the hotel. We did however notice quite a few plots being developed nearby, so this might not continue. Staff were all great and helpful. The food was amazing. Devilled tuna and fresh Mahi Mahi were a favourites! One evening we went to a nearby beach and watched turtles lay their eggs and return to the sea. It was like being in a nature programme.

If you are looking for a dose of peace & quiet, this is it. Long empty beaches, palm trees, the occasional monkey, orchids in the garden. The staff was very friendly. There are only 12 rooms, so theres a familiar feel in staying here. The rooms and grounds were very clean. The view from my room was spectacular. The things that could be improved: i found the mattress to be uncomfortable. The onsite restaurant was good, but not excellent. I sure wish they would provide a water dispenser with mineral water for the guests without using so much pladtic waste.

If your looking for a relaxing getaway surrounding by untouched nature, this is the place. Amazing service, delicious seafood and beautiful scenery.

This literally is paradise. Located in a very isolated area, but your surroundings is absolute bliss. You have the most beautiful beach area in front while you have the tropical wilderness behind you. This hotel is very neat and tidy. Service and food is fantastic. Not a lot to do at hotel itself other than enjoy the tranquility and amazing surroundings. They do over trips to go see wildlife and other activities, but you dont even have to leave the hotel to go see sea turtles as the had right on their beach. Ananya is just amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to break away and rest while enjoying nature.

This is the best Hotel in Tangalle. Wonderful staff and service. The view from the room was totally amazing. Beach is so beautiful. I would definitely come back. This place is paradise!

A hidden paradise hidden at the end of a bumpy dirt road! Even more beautiful than the pictures show! Spacious and modern rooms that were kept meticulously clean during our two-night stay, kind and service-oriented personnel, very good food on an extensive menu with very reasonable prices! The breakfast was the best Sri Lankan breakfast we had on our 14-day journey with generous servings that were cooked to perfection! We also tried the Spa that was located 15 minutes by tuk-tuk from Ananya Beach at another hotel and the massage and the scrub were very well executed and good value for money! The pool is super clean and lovely to swim in as a substitute for the ocean, which had a bit too high waves for us even though we did get in once. The only thing we would recommend for improvement is to add a few sun parasols on the beach so that all guests/rooms can enjoy the shade. We warmly recommend this hotel and we hope to come back next year!
