The hallmark of the hotel is the staff. Amazing friendliness, very accommodative and made us feel very much at home. Hotel overall was convenient and did justice to our stay. Check in was delayed for at least 45 minutes. It didn’t appear to be busy at the reception. Restaurant: Dinner was quite good with a well planned menu. Much variety and on point when it came to taste. Desserts could be better as seemed to be in the same spectrum. Breakfast could have been better on quality. Rooms were good sized, beds with average comfort. TV remote did not work but didn't really use it. Bathroom was well equipped. Showers with good pressure and wonderful hot water. Could have better utility for hanging towels and hooks for cloth storage. Would like to come back and enjoy the hospitality again.

It’s a nice beachfront property but the beach is not suitable for swimming or bathing, the sea water is not clean as the waste water from the land comes and mix in the sea. Hotel rooms a very tired, need a good clean and the furnitures need replacing The staff are very friendly and helpful and it’s beautifully landscaped and maintained

Dated but it was convenient and did the trick for a quick overnight stay. The staff were lovely and the breakfast buffet was incredible.

Our stay has been nice. What saddens me is the trash I saw on the beach. It’s not in front of the hotel but all along the beach. People here don’t respect the beauty they have here enough to put their trash and recycle in the right containers and our oceans and beaches suffer from it.

Excellent hospitality

I stayed here twice on my trip to Sri Lanka. First time with a large group. The hotel is in a great spot on the beach. You can’t swim at the beach plus it’s rather dirty with rubbish. It has beautiful grounds and a pool to enjoy. Food is good, staff are good. Rooms need renovating but clean and functional. No lifts but the staff carry the luggage for you.

Good pool. We all, especially our grandsons, enjoyed the excellent buffets with all their choices. Ideal surroundings to relax in, but near enough to Colombo. Nice shower. Radu particularly helpful

Beautiful hotel. Excellent food and atmosphere at both restaurants. Neighborhood not so great so stay onsite and don’t wander.

Nice hotel but need a maintenance. Leak patches are visible. Customer service on phone needs a training.

Hotel is located in middle or maybe edge of industrial estate. A staff member raises boom gate, obviously labor cheaper than electricity. In fairness other places I've stayed since also seem to have excessive amounts of staff, many just standing around. But what's unique to Pegasus is that you walk through a metal detector to enter the hotel and your bags are put through an airport style x-ray machine. No explanation is given for this. Are they trying to prevent guests bringing in alcohol, is there a threat of an attack? A large amount of staff don't speak English, day receptionist that does needs customer service training and acts like you're bothering her if you approach the counter. Tired having been on multiple flights, my baggage not turning up at Colombo Airport, and just wanting to eat something before going to sleep early, being the only place to get food in the evening on site is a fish only restaurant, I asked for a menu for room service (why was there not one in room?), she tells me, someone will bring one to my room (obviously I wasn't in the room when asking her so why deliver it there?) But an hour goes by and no one ever brought one, I went back and told her, now you'd think that would be the time she'd just go and get one herself, but no she says go back to room someone will come. No one ever came. Staff trail you whenever you go outside, not sure if doing so for security reasons or they want tips as they ask if you'd like them to take your photo...

Our stay at Pegasus was excellent. Staff were amazing and helpful, amenities were excellent. The only area for improvement would be an upgrade to their coffee available for breakfast. Drop filter just doesn't cut it.

The property was near the beach and has a walking path. Almost all the hotel staff and at the front desk were nice. The choice of dishes at the buffet were excellent. Most of them were delicious. And the staff at the restaurant were very obliging. My husband is a vegan. He had lots of choices and was very happy. But some at the front desk were not very helpful. Check-in were very quick and pleasant. When we wanted a hire a car to a certain time the staff didn’t do anything an then said no car available. And didn’t do anything. We managed to get a car which came to drop passenger at the it.

Staff was excellent

Staff was really nasty and Room wasn’t ready even We was TaKe full Service and 3 People deluxe triple. Never come back to this Hotel and dont recomend for anyone
