Thilaka City Hotel

The main reason i score this hotel 1 star is because the hotel manager ripped me off on a tour.. he charged me 130 euro on the basis i was the only booking… he subsequently sold a couple later that day and charged them 80 euro each… of course i asked what they paid, so i was annoyed and told him… eventually he refunded approx 25 euro… not a good experience at all… One other small but interesting point.. one breakfast i didn’t get to choose from the menu.. i was served beef curry..without a choice, from the last nights dinner menu Don’t stay here!!!

Very friendly staff

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service they provided was excellent. The food was very good. The rooms could be better, needing modernising. However, for the price, it's good value for money.

Lots of mold in the bathroom wall and the shower curtain. One of the bed sheet was finish it was like sleeping directly on the matress lucky we had our own sheets. If they are giving you the room next to reception ask for another one because it’s noisy and you will ear the phone ring all night. WiFi is not unstable it’s just not working. The only positive is the kindness of the staff and the location.

Roshea, our host, was super friendly and smiling. We asked to change our room from one double bed to two beds and he did with kindliness. The pool was very welcome after visiting Anuradhapura. The breakfast was excellent! 10 on 10!

ホテルの立地はアヌラーダプラの中でも静かで落ち着いた場所にあると思います。ただ少し中心部からは遠いように感じます。旧市街や駅まで歩くにはかなりかかります。部屋はフロントのすぐ隣で、何かあったらすぐに対応してしてもらえる場所にありました。実際トイレのフラッシュが壊れた時にはすぐに対応してもらいました。テレビ有り、クーラー有り、冷蔵庫なしでした。寝ている間に蚊が出て蚊に喰われました。もう少し清潔感があればいいのですが、ホテル代が安かったので仕方ないと思います。

We were basically received in silence at check-in and the hospitality did not improve from there. We were the only guests but were given the only room without a window (the other doors were open) and were told there wasn't any other possibility. Really different from every other guesthouse and experience in Sri Lanka.

Hôtel bien pour deux nuit, personnel gentils, mais avait plus l impression d être dans un hôtel d´affaires . Ne pas prendre de chambre au rdc car on les entend en cuisine

Nous avons passé 2 nuits à Anuradhapura. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine pour nous rafraîchir après la visite de la ville. L'hôtel nous a loué des vélos pour la journée, même si la vieille ville était plus loin que ce que nous pensions. Le directeur nous a emmenées gratuitement en voiture, pour voir un spectacle de danses Sri lankaises, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié !

テレビが1チャネルだけ wifiはフロント近くだけ

Vi havde 3 gode overnatninger på dette fredfyldte familiehotel. Ejeren og personalet gjorde alt hvad de kunne for at vi fik en god tid. Der var en skøn overdækket tagterrasse ved siden af den udmærkede udendørs pool. Her fik vi alle 3 aftener serveret fantastisk veltillavet Sri lankansk Rice & Curry, hver gang med nye velsmagende specialiteter. Kæmpe kredit til kokken👍 Hotellet ligger på en fredfyldt lille vej ikke langt fra New Bus terminal. Hotellet var omgivet af træer og andre smukke vækster og der var pænt og rent. Vi lejede cykler på stedet til vores dagstur ud og se alle de fantastiske templer og den smukke natur. Cyklerne var ikke nogen stor fornøjelse så tag en prøvetur inden, der findes andre der udler cykler. Værelse var ok med god seng og badeværelse men uden noget rigtigt vindue og aircon’en larmede en del. Alt i alt var vi rigtig glade for dette sted og vil gerne anbefale det til andre.

家族で2泊利用しました。オーナーが日本語が話せてとてもフレンドリー。頼めばビールを出してくれます。プールがあるので子供たち（4歳、6歳）は大喜びでした。朝食はフルーツたっぷりで美味しかったです。夜間、周辺は暗いのでなかなか外出しにくい。ホテルで食事を取る場合は早めに頼んだ方がいいです（作るのに1時間かかります）

super acceuil, personnel serviable et trés gentil, bonne table, je recommande cet établissement, prés du centre ville. séjour parfait

Super service, à l'écoute de toute vos demandes. Nous avons demandé des vélos pour visiter le temple juste à côté le matin 15 minutes après ils étaient là. Petit hôtel intimiste à l'écart de l'artère principale mais à deux pas de la station de bus. A recommander.

Small and quaint hotel with no bells and whistles, but great staff and a nice stay. Rooms are basic but OK and the hotel is certainly value for money. Surprisingly, a nice neat table cloth setting for breakfast and dinner; the nicest table setting of any on out trip including the higher star hotels.

I arrived a bit late at night so they reserved a very large room for me as other rooms are all be booked. Nice room with fan and air-con. Though the air-con didnt work, sleep with fan is definately not a problem. Cleanness of the room still need to be improve as I can find a dead inserts under the bed. Staffs are very helpful and nice. Help me to prepare dinner and breakfast and call tuktuk for my sightseeing the next day. Overall is pretty good with reasonable price.

Hotel cerca de la estación de autobuses y de “ main road”. Ubicación sin ruidos por la noche. Buen desayuno salvo por el café que es de sobre. Habitación amplia, con baño en ella y con a/c En cualquier hotel de Anuradhapura necesitas alquilar tuc tuc para las visitas turísticas. En este también pero es fácil. Personal muy amable.

This is a comfortable, well-priced hotel. It is basic accommodation but the room was clean and the A/C and hot water were fine. The service is friendly. I would return and recommend it to others.
