It is a new hotel and the facilities in the room are very up-to-date. Excellent location and the room is clean and comfortable

Great place to stay in Taipei. Easy access to metro and lots of dining and shopping options nearby. Room for three adults (sofa bed) was very comfy and clean. Felt very modern and was nice to come back and relax in room after a long day out. Tons of great cheap places to eat nearby. Didn’t do breakfast. Got breakfast out every day since places open early. Shower was comfy. Only rec is to have soap in both toilet room and shower room which are separate.

Overall very pleasant stay. Staff were nice and engaging when required. Close to Ximending markets and shops and other tourist locations taking the metro train or uber. Can get overwhelming and overstimulating with all the people and shops but after the 2 or 3 time it gets familiar. Accomodating with a later check out when asked in advanced. Bathroom amenities provided which is good to not have to bring them, only suggestion is to add body lotion. Another suggestion is to extend the house keeping times as only goes to 3pm and on the last few days when heading out later got caught out with it. Another suggestion is more variety of the breakfast or a buffet style if possible, while food was good but limiting at times when it’s the same for over a few days. In summary recommend compared to others when reviewing to stay at in the area.

台北ではオークラさんかリージェントさんを利用する事が多いのですが、新しいホテルが出来たという事で利用させて頂きました。チェックイン時に10人位1Fエレベーター前に人がいてロビー階表示が見えずにウロウロ、エレベーター内も満員でフロア階案内が見えず、ボタンにもL表示が無くて困りました。
デジタルチェックインに氏名、電話、メルアドを入力しても入力出来ず困りましたが声を掛けて下さったスタッフさんは親切だったので無事チェックイン出来ましたが、初めて利用する人には優しいないなというのが第一印象でした。サイトには日本語が通じるホテルと紹介されていますが、日本語を話せたのはチェックアウト時のフロントの1人だけでした。
オープンして数ヶ月ですがベット上のLED照明が点滅して切れそうになっていました。
全体的には親切なスタッフさんと新しい設備の良いホテルでした。

We stayed for 2 nights in the Adjoining Twin Room with family, very convenient when travelling with more people. Hotel is quite new, rooms are spacious and very well designed. There is ample storage for all your belongings like luggage and shopping. WC is in a separate room from main bathroom. Location is also great, just across Ximending with plenty of food options. Entrance to the metro is just in front of hotel. We also appreciate the high service standards from the friendly hotel staff. Will definitely stay at this hotel on next trip to Taipei.

Sotetsu Grand Fresa Taipei Ximen is a great hotel with a good location and friendly staff who even helped order an air freshener spray online. However, the in-room hairdryer has weak airflow and isn’t hot enough, making it difficult for long, thick hair to dry quickly. Also, my Dyson hairdryer from Singapore didn’t work due to Taiwan’s different voltage.

Our room had frosted window, can't see anything, makes me feel a little claustrophobic. Staff was a young staff who didn't seem very motivated to provide help. Location was great to get around as subway is just around the corner of the hotel.

The stay was great especially its location is tugged right in the heart of Ximending. The housekeeping staff has make the room clean and neat as well! But I have a suggestion for the management, to place a bottle of hand soap in the toilet as well, this is basic amenities. As the bathroom sink and the toilet sink are in two separate rooms, it only makes sense that both sinks have their individual bottled hand soap. I had tried to request for an extra one but was refused.

This is a very bottom line basic Hotel, the carpet and finishing were really cheap worn and tired. The sofa was like a worn -and very poor quality, I thought it was way overrated. I had a five nights stay. I stayed for two nights and when elsewhere.
