The stay was great especially its location is tugged right in the heart of Ximending. The housekeeping staff has make the room clean and neat as well! But I have a suggestion for the management, to place a bottle of hand soap in the toilet as well, this is basic amenities. As the bathroom sink and the toilet sink are in two separate rooms, it only makes sense that both sinks have their individual bottled hand soap. I had tried to request for an extra one but was refused.

This is a very bottom line basic Hotel, the carpet and finishing were really cheap worn and tired. The sofa was like a worn -and very poor quality, I thought it was way overrated. I had a five nights stay. I stayed for two nights and when elsewhere.

Hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Cleaniness is too notch. Will stay there again!

I enjoyed all aspects of this hotel

Very clean & big room. They clean the rooms every day. Staff is very nice & helpful. The location is super convenient, close to the train station & a lot of stores for shopping. Will definitely come back again and recommend to friends & family.

Check out time would be great if at 13:00, others are perfect!

I recently stayed at Sotetsu Taipei and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is impeccably clean, with spotless rooms and well-maintained common areas that made the stay incredibly comfortable. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work, ensuring every detail is perfect. Convenience is a major highlight of this hotel. Located in a central area, it's within walking distance to major attractions, shopping centers, and public transportation. The nearby MRT station makes exploring Taipei easy and efficient, while the walkable neighborhood is filled with great dining options and local shops. The hotel's staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, offering helpful suggestions for places to visit and accommodating any requests with a smile. Overall, Sotetsu Taipei is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a clean, convenient, and friendly place to stay in the heart of Taipei. I would highly recommend it and will definitely return for future visits!

Overall very good place, great for shopping and transport. Housekeeping is awesome and refills everyday. The only down side is the lift is very slow especially during busy times.

Relatively new hotel in the area, super convenient and have access to 2 metro lines. Besides a stuffy smell on the carpet on the first day, the bed and bathroom are in good condition. Also, the towels are a bit thin, not the usual hotel standard towels. Just across to Ximen Ding, which is a plus.

This is a new hotel, very spacious and clean. Love the separate shower room and toilet. The make up table & mirror with light is a plus. There’s no iron/board in the room but you can ask and they will deliver it to you. Close to MRT station, 7eleven and Ximending center (short walking distance). Highly recommended!

Right outside Ximen exit 2 but note that this exit has only stairs. Exit 3 which is less than 100m away has escalator but no elevator. Crossing of road (unsheltered) is required to access elevator. Room size is excellent! Love the separate toilet and bath area. Baby bathtub is available upon request. Some areas of improvement - no mattress for the baby cot so staff laid blanket on it. Not suitable for infants as it may lead to suffocation (ok for bigger infants and toddlers). No 24hour housekeeping. Check in before 3pm is impossible on days when they are full house (and it seems like they are full house most of the time) Otherwise, enjoyed our stay!
