Kiponda B&B

A nice place with extremely friendly staff.

We had a lovely time at Kiponda, the location is amazing for exploring Stone Town and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We loved the rooftop view from the restaurant. Breakfast was fine but with limited options. Lovely place, thank you!

is is the perfect budget alternative in the heart of Stone town and quiet, safe and peaceful. The breakfast on the nice terrace is good and enjoyable.

Pros: - staff were lovely and helpful, very accommodating - good location - historical building Needs Improvement: - our room was terribly small. For just a little more $$, we could have stayed at another hotel with more spacious rooms. But it is an old building... - breakfast was okay, but I’d like to see them add some pancakes and spreads to the menu, potatoes and a meat (sausage?) too. Coffee Bodum-style, which I appreciated. - internet seems to be intermittent, but this was a problem at many places we stayed. Ask the staff to reset the modem or turn it off or whatever the guy did when we asked why it wasn’t working. On another note, I had read through reviews before booking and saw there were a few comments about cockroaches. I didn’t see even one.
