Melia Zanzibar

Staff support was absolutely lacking. 0 client orientation and poor training on restaurants. We have to call 5 times to get shampoo in the room and although we pay all inclusive, at the end of our stay the bar man at the library bar asked us to pay…. Worst stay in a hotel. Do not stay here, plenty of options in Zanzibar, Melia should not be rated as a 5 starts hotel.

Initially we had some issues with our villa and with the condition of its balcony, which was due for refurbishment as the neighbouring villa was being worked on - so it wasn’t a great start, however the staff were attentive and sorted us out by relocating us a brand new private villa which in one word was WOW! Everything else was excellent and would most certainly recommend.

Wonderful place , felt like heaven , we had a perfect experience, felt in love with the place and the team of the hotel were welcoming and helpful .

Wir waren total zufrieden - super Zimmer, klasse Service und echt leckeres Essen. Besonders möchten wir die Kellnerin Zawadi erwähnen, die uns mit ihrem ständigen Lächeln und ihre positive Art den Aufenthalt versüßt hat. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit.

This is my second time staying at Meliá, and it won’t be my last. It’s not only because the hotel and grounds are beautiful. It’s the staff, they are exceptional, they’re the most friendly, smiley, professional and provide amazing service. Every room is cleaned twice a day and I’ve left valuables lying around and everything has always been safe. My only complaint this time was that there was no working light in the shower but other than that everything was 10/10.

Had the most wonderful time at Melia Zanzibar, full of the kindest people who made our trip spectacular. The food menu at the beach club is great, as the jetty restaurant. Breakfast is delicious too!

The hotel was nice although the food quality did not meet a 5 star standard. The food at the buffet and pool bar were very low quality and I was indeed surprised by the small variety of options. The rooms were nice and spacious.

Nice Hotel with a wonderfull sight, but the thebbeachbwas not what i expected from sansibar.

This was an exceptional stay. The accomodations at The Level were beautiful and clean and beyond what I expected. Every detail was considered e.g. The toiletries were top notch and the room had everything you could need including beach blankets beach bags, umbrellas, steamer for your clothes.The list is endless. The pool areas ( there where several) were comfortable relaxing and clean and there were several activities, games and excursons. The Spa is amazing and the gym had everything one needs. The staff were friendly and the service impeccable from reception, restuarant service, housekeeping and the guys driving the shuttles within the resort. The grounds were beautiful and quiet with accress to a large expanse of the coastline. The only thing that needs improving is the food. For the cost and the level of excellence in other aspects of the resort, the food offerings need to be improved in terms of range of options and flavour. I also koted that there were some kids in the adults only section. They were well behaved and did not bother me but others may not appreciate it. Neither of these, would stop me from going back in a heartbeat. one of my best vacations ever.

Melia was a beautiful hotel with a very cosy room. The room was modern designed, private and was very comfortable. It offered the perfect solo retreat for me. A few observations, the level had signs that said adults only yet saw alot of children playing around the pool and breakfast there. 2ndly i think the front desk lady has to educate guests about the advantages of the level properly and not only the map of the premises. I felt like i missed out on a few priviledges the level offered that i wasnt informed about. 3rdly i feel the level guests should have access to the beach cabanas on a first come first serve basis. After paying almost 800 pounds for one night stay i thought it was abit weird to still be charged to use the beach cabana bed for only 30min when i wanted to one morning. The pier food was just o, i had higher expectations The overall hotel premises is nice and cosy and i would stay here again.

The resort is very beautiful and staff are really friendly . Favourite chill area was the Gabi beach where we had a good view of the blue waters of the indian ocean ,good music and food.

Everything about this hotel was so great !!!!

The property is beautiful and spacious. Unfortunately, our shower never heated properly despite multiple requests to the front desk. Maintenance came several times to address the water heater, but it wasn’t fully resolved until our last day, which was the fourth day of our stay.
