Stayed here for 2 nights ! The owners are amazing such beautiful people who go out of their way to do whatever you need breakfast is included and is a huge amount of food cooked on the property! If you’re looking for brand new, this is not your place if you’re looking for eclectic with a cool vibe, immersed into local culture this is your place super cheap for what you get !
Rented a scooter White and golden temple is about 25 min drive and a must see blue temple is about 20 min also very cool ! At the end of the road two minute walk there’s a 7-Eleven or you can get almost anything you need and across the street from 7-Eleven there’s a small restaurant that sells the most amazing soup! To the left of the restaurant, there’s a little stand, where a man makes the best local espresso! I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something that is filled with love and character!!
The owner, Auntie Noy, is the best! She gets up at 4am-ish every morning to scrub the bathroom (which she does multiple times a day) and then cooks an amazing breakfast for guests. I asked if I could have extra vegetables, and from that moment on during my week stay she made sure I had more than my fill of both cooked and raw veggies. She also gave my husband dishes tailor made for him, local recipes and extra spicy.
Auntie Noy was so genuinely happy to see all the guests each day, she takes such joy in caring for everyone.
Some people have posted reviews not liking this place, mostly that it's dirty/rundown. Dude, Thailand (and all of SEA) is dirty and rundown as a whole compared to what Westerners are used to. If you want pristine rooms that meet a Hilton Hotel standard - then go book one of those hotels and pay those ridiculously high rates.
This is a family run business, and they have the cheapest rates for a private bedroom. My room was not much bigger than the bed and the bathroom has a reworked garden shed feel to it - but it was clean and really affordable and had great customer service.
If you are a chill backpacker / savvy traveler that wants a bedroom alone without breaking your budget and are cool about an authentic experience- this is a great place.
If you are a brat Karen that wants Thailand to feel exactly like your London/NYC/BigMetro home and are just doing this trip for posting on The ‘Gram- then go pay for that and leave the locals alone.
I loves the corky set up of the place. It's so unique and feels like they threw together anything they could find and make it feel like home. They staff was so unbelievably kind. The woman always made sure we are happy, made us food, free banana and pineapples. It was a wonderful place to stay for my first days in Thailand. Would definitely recommend but be ware the mattresses are really hard. I didn't mind but not for everyone.
