This was my 2nd stay at this hotel due to location. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The towels were even soft! The building is older but modern and the location is great for downtown activities. Walking distance to Palmer Event center South Congress (SoCo) shopping district as well as food. I will stay there again next year.

“Not what I expected”
The room looked clean at first glance, but unfortunately, it wasn’t up to standard. The bed sheets had hair from previous guests, which was very unpleasant. There was also a bad smell in the room that didn’t go away during my stay. On top of that, the sheets were rough and uncomfortable, which made it hard to sleep well. I was expecting better hygiene and comfort for the price.

Property is dirty. Inside of elevator was nasty. All of the carpet was dirty and needed vacuum. The smell of marijana is everywhere in the hotel. There was never anybody at the front desk. They say they offer breakfast from 6:30-9 but it was watered down coffee only and stale breakfast bars.

Prior requests weren’t taken care of by staff. The key card didn’t work getting in hotel and room. Went twice to front desk for keys to be reactivated and swapped. 3rd floor leak had hallway under construction and made look dirty. Rooms were nothing special. Was nothing special and only stayed 1 night.

This has been our go-to hotel in Austin for literally decades. It’s a 10 minute walk to the heart of South Congress St, the Bat Bridge, and Town Lake, and offers all the amenities you would want for an extended stay. The staff will go way above and beyond to help out, including receiving packages, providing kitchen items, and arranging very late check out times. This Extended Stay may be the last affordable hotel in one of the most expensive cities in the entire US and we highly recommend it! Eat at Sandy’s across the street!!
