The rooms was smelly! It is more like a 3 .5 stars hotel. Towel and bedsheet had roles.

We recently stayed at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park in a Gold Level room for 2 nights and overall had a very good experience. The room was clean, well-sized, and the bed was very comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was excellent—something we definitely appreciate after a long day of walking around the city. The Gold Level service was a highlight. The lounge was well maintained, and the Gold team did a fantastic job keeping the space clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Breakfast, evening canapés, and desserts were enjoyable, though the selection seemed more limited compared to other Fairmont properties we've stayed at. One minor issue: there was no complimentary water in the room upon check-in, but once we called down, it was promptly delivered with no hassle. They had Evian water bottle and other minibar items available but it comes with extra cost. The location is another strong point. It’s about a 10-minute walk to cross the river to Michigan Avenue, 15–20 minutes to Navy Pier, and just 10 minutes to Cloud Gate (The Bean). We didn’t have a car, so we can’t speak to the parking situation. While it didn’t quite match the level of service and amenities we've come to expect from other Fairmont hotels, it was still a comfortable and pleasant stay overall.

The room was ok not great for what I would expect for a fairmont. Also they charged you a $25 daily urban experience fee which seems ridiculous and just another way to get your money. There was nothing posted about that fee on the Expedia site.

Shower head needs to be replaced and the sink was clogged.

Was a great experience.

I would highly recommend this place for families looking for a quieter place to stay. The one bedroom suite was surprisingly affordable for how big it was, and within 20 minutes, the staff had brought up an extremely comfortable rollaway bed, microwave, and mini fridge, which was very helpful since we were traveling with a toddler. The standout for us was the service at the coffee bar in the mornings! They were extremely kind and even gifted our kids some snacks on our last day when it was obvious we were checking out. We will definitely be returning when we come to Chicago again!

There were several balls of hair and multiple pieces of garbage in several areas of the room. Not in plain sight but if you looked behind a chair or in a drawer. Reception was slow and understaffed. Services were basically non existent. Text message platform as advertised was unresponsive. Baggage storage staff went missing for 30 mins resulting in a transportation issue. Housekeeping was unresponsive. Two room service meals were below typical Fairmont quality: soup was so salty to the point of burning ones mouth (inedible) and the bread for the sandwich was stale. After 48 hours I have yet to receive an invoice. This all was extremely disappointing considering the consistency of the Fairmont management experiences we’ve had in the past. I would say stick with Faimint but avoid this location.

Expensive for the age of the hotel and condition

The property is beautiful, conveniently located and clean however I had booked a room at this hotel solely because I needed a room with two double beds. Upon check-in, there were no rooms with double beds available and so a member of our party was forced to sleep on a pullout couch. I do not feel that it is an acceptable solution for an adult to sleep on a pullout couch when they are paying at a certain price point. I have stayed at this hotel in the past, but do not know whether I will be booking another stay based on this experience.

Good location

Room needs maintenance. Cracked floor tile, worn out tile grout, water damage in bathroom, damaged walls. No charging plug ins, sparse furnishings (no arm chair or side table, just a sad sort of dining chair).

The hotel was a little above average. You get a room credit for certain areas of the hotel with your stay which was appreciated as we utilized for breakfast before heading out for the day. The staff was friendly and courteous. Our room had a nice view however we had to get our sheets changed the first day we got there because one of the beds had obvious stains and the other was full of hair (not just one or two here and there). We ran out of shampoo, conditioner and body wash by our last day because they weren’t refilled. When I checked out, I was told I’d get an email with my receipt. I didn’t. I called the hotel twice a few hours later to confirm my email address and still haven’t received it. I just expected a little from a Fairmont hotel. Not sure I’d stay again.

I had a great stay. No complaints. The staff was great.
