Holiday Inn Express MANHATTAN MIDTOWN WEST by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Pro: friendly staff, great location, and comfy beds and pillows. Con: Our room is horribly soundproofed. We could hear every sound clearly, such as when someone was walking in the hallway, talking, or the door of the nearby room was closed. We had a ground-floor room, and were not informed that construction was taking place right outside our room, located at the back of the building. We were woken up at 8 am with hammering and people talking right outside our window. When we first walked into our room, it smelled of mildew. We thought that once AC kicks in, the room would smell better. However, the room continues to smell of mildew by the end of each day, when we return from our daily outings. I do not think I would stay there again.

The room was ok but the a/c was leaking water over the carper and it was always wet and smell like mold. The toilet flushed but stayed little open so the water kept running. There was never water available for the guest besides the breakfast time and hot water for coffee was always empty at night.

Perfect for what I needed afforadable well located and safe and two double beds made our stay very comfortable

The windows were filthy so could not enjoy the view. Presence of scaffolding and swing stage interrupted view. No chairs out front as pictured in ads, again due to presence of scaffolding. I feel guests should be warned when construction is going on. There was an ugly stain on the day bed and plastic peeking from the base of the bed. Shabby overall. The staff was professional and courteous.

Crowded breakfast - substandard breakfast and only one working elevator - very inconvenient for the 12th floor - we left two days early.

Staff was friendly. Location was ok. Lots of work going on and the room given had a horrible view of trash and maintenance items.

Our stay was comfortable. Room was not too big but space was sufficient to put our bags and stuff. Breakfast was decent with different option each day. Breakfast area is not too big. Go early to avoid morning rush. Hotel has 2 elevators running smoothly but little slow. 10 minutes to attractions and subway. Overall nice stay.

Clean quiet room. Need a taxi for getting to most places, but the hotel is located in the middle of them. Breakfast was pretty simple. We enjoyed to spend time having good coffee in the morning. In terms of price quality expensive but since New York has become expensive, this hotel is probably in line with the city’s prices.

Everything at check in was great, however I was put in a room in the basement, which, while very nice and clean, had a view of a garden shed and was in a service area for staff. I couldn't stay in that room for 8 nights and the staff agreed to move me after the first night (as they didn't have an alternative for that night)

Do not expect to get a room before 3 pm and the free breakfast is a jungle no matter what time u show up always pack,rooms and beds are small and two small elevators always full for 11 floors building

Amazing stay. Only downside is breakfast is very very very cramped and hectic. Other than that perfect!!

Staff is always willing to help, was given late checkout as requested. Breakfast is exactly what you need, complete protein and different breads. There are 2 great pizza places one block away. Only con is that metro is far

Es un hotel bien situado a 10 minutos de Times Square, las habitaciones son amplias y tienen frigorífico y aire acondicionado … El hotel está en obras y a las 8 am los operarios ya estaban haciendo ruido por lo que nos costó poder descansar… El lugar para el desayuno es pequeño para toda la gente que va y la mayor parte del tiempo, siempre faltan productos para desayunar… Deberían reponer más rápido… aun así… repetiríamos sin dudarlo!

Hotel is located at walking distance to Manhattan Cruise terminal.

Great location about a 10-minute walk to a metro station and Times Square. Everything was clean and the staff were awesome. The only downside was that the room was a bit small and storage was limited, but otherwise 10/10.
