My Place Hotel - Shakopee MN

Just what we needed for our short stay and the ability to have our dog with us.

Location. Quiet. Clean. Parking

The staff were friendly and the room was clean.

It’s not terrible but tons can be better. It’s not told but most of the people staying there live there. It’s a monthly rate hotel. Lots of noise. There is a reason for the dark carpet. out of my monday-sat stay two different times dog poop was on the carpet and nobody cleans it up right away. Room service will not bring new towels they stated i must bring towels down and swap them myself. Not sure about anyone else but that’s part of the cost. There is no disvount for doing there job for them! Beware if going on certain holidays like I did on the 4th. There will be no parking for you because the firework show across the way everybody will take every parking spot that isn’t staying there. We watched the fireworks in the middle of the way in the parking lot because of this. Once the show was over then the on lookers left then I got a spot. Terrible execution on keeping that from happening. But on the grand scheme wasn’t horrible wasn’t best just mediocre.

What an experience! Room smelled like cat urine because they allow long term stays with pets. They advertise a kitchenette but provide no dishes, utensils, or cooking pots and pans. Front desk people were nice enough but didn’t really offer any solutions. The hotel property did not offer us any compensation either.

An absolute disaster of a hotel. Avoid at all cost. Blackout shades were broken on a weekend with no one able to fix until Monday, with nighttime spotlights just outside. On top of that, the hotel, yes, the entire hotel out of body wash and shampoo. Unbelievable compared to other my place locations we’ve stayed at.

No vending or pantry items available for purchase here. Clerk said they haven't had a delivery in weeks. No beverage or snacks are available for purchase at this property. Staff was friendly and helpful when you could find them. One strange thing: the water pressure in the shower was painfully strong, like a power washer. I like good pressure but all 3 in my room thought it was excessive. A staff person had to help us with the Direct TV service. A cord under the TV was in the wrong position to receive the signal, I guess. Should not be so sensitive or taped down or something. No major problem here, but a different hotel experience.

The staff member that checked us in was friendly. Room was relatively clean aside from the main sink and some stuff that was left in the fridge from a previous guest. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Staff member the next morning wasnt as friendly, was a bit rude when i asked a question. But overall a good stay.

Lack of towels and room could have been cleaner!

Nice size room. Love the kitchen in room. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Quiet building. Very convenient to have grub hub available for delivery and surrounding restauraunts to walk to.

Nice room, clean. Access is user friendly. Front desk employees very kind and engaged. Shower head needs replacing in my room and had to ask for replacement coffee as housekeeping didn’t restock but not a big deal.

The sheets did not look clean or fresh. The floor was sticky in the kitchen area. The carpet was extremely stained and dirty.

No towels in the room

Only 1 bath towel in the bathroom. No shampoo or conditioner.

The hotel itself was okay. The hallway carpet and walls need a good cleaning. The room had fresh sheets and we were able to get clean towels from the front desk as our room didn’t have any. The bathtub had hair in it and the room smelled like dog.

Was quick

I like how clean the room smelled upon arrival. The bathroom mirror needed a little more glass cleaner but overall the room was comfortable and clean and tidy.

Overflowing garbage bins outside. Outlet not working in bathroom. We notified staff about the outlet and they said they would have maintenance check it.
