SCP Depoe Bay

The property was nicely decorated with a sunny deck facing the harbor. There was a short walk past the harbor to a little park. We saw seals and otters. However, it felt like we were the only ones there. Attention to details seemed more about aesthetic than comfort of the guest. We didn’t need a swing or a white noise machine in the room, we needed extra blankets, but the blankets were very small and thin like the kind you get at Walmart for a dollar.There was no in room coffee and the breakfast really could not be called breakfast. Fortunately, Shelby the clerk was super sweet and gave us a Keurig for our room. Otherwise, coffee is not served until 8 o’clock. And breakfast was literally a quarter cup of granola in a paper bag. We were not able to take advantage of the breakfast on our stay. All that being said, if you like minimalism without a lot of fuss, this may be the place for you. For the price we paid, I expected a little bit more.

Our room was clean and quiet with an electric fireplace and view of the harbor. It is possible to walk uphill to restaurants, shops and the whale watching center. We have stayed here before and would stay again.

Our stay was excellent! SCP was clean and so cute!! They had washers and dryers, which was super helpful! The staff was so friendly and were able to accommodate our late arrival so easily! We ended up booking a second night with them!!

This place was beautiful, clean, friendly and affordable. The lobby had plenty to do with board games, a couple of swinging chairs, binoculars, puzzles and more. There was a quaint gym area and a laundry area. The porch was beautiful and the chairs comfy. The view was nice. We were looking right out at the world’s smallest harbor. The swing chair in the room was such a fun touch. The bed was comfy and the tv was mounted so we could watch from bed easily. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly but also gave plenty of space for us to explore around the property. We were also very close to the main shopping and food area of Depoe Bay. Right next to the ocean as well.

Great spot for a couple of days stay. The girl on our arrival, announced she was leaving as soon as we arrived, just before 6pm. I get that she's probably only employed until 6pm but it didn't make for a great reception .

Very clean, super cute place and very attentive staff.

It was fine for a single night stay as you’re passing through but I wouldn’t recommend it for a multiple night stay.

I loved this hotel. It was so cute and so many great things it offered. View of the harbor, free laundry, great relaxing area in the lobby. Loved the seat swings, healthy breakfast and friendly staff.

Great location for catching a boat for whale watching- it is right on the harbor. Jake at the front desk was very friendly and easily accommodated a room change for us. Wonderful deck overlooking the harbor. Rooms were sparkling clean and comfortable.

It had a very comfortable and sheik ambiance. I liked the decor and the view of the boat docks. I appreciate some of the smaller things like feeling like we are in a big communal home. The free tea (no to-go cups is kind of a bummer) and the water jugs for our room were nice. I would have liked to have coffee. Also, I did not sleep well. I could hear the people upstairs walking around and it sounded as if they were stomping though I'm sure they were not. It was loud. I could also hear people talking outside my door as if we didn't even have the door closed. So the sound-proofing was awful. We had to go to bed early so we could go fishing in the morning and I couldn't fall asleep with all the noise. Then, I went to use the water and when the person above turned on their water, my warm water went away. Also, not fun. And when I got up early to go fishing, there were no to-go cups so I couldn't bring tea with me out the door. So it was a lovely hotel but it didn't fit my needs. Also, the pillows were stiff and too big and had me wishing I brought my own pillow. We did not have breakfast because it was offered starting at 8am and we had to leave at 6am so we missed out on it...also a bummer. I would stay here again but I'd get a room upstairs and bring my own pillow and to go coffee cup.

The complete priority seemed brand new. They clearly are targeting Portland hipsters which will reduce their market share. I think they jumped the shark with the hanging chairs in the rooms and the yoga room. There are not great food options in Depoe Bay they would be smart to convert their shared space into an actual restaurant with healthier food and great coffee. Portland is a foodie city so bring that Portland element into this space.

Gorgeous room with a view of the bay and docks. Fantastic if you’re heading out for a day on the water. Only steps Arron the dock. The chair swing in the yard was a nice touch. Didn’t get chance to check out the morning fair. However, the commons looked appealing
