The hotel itself is a lovely accommodation, the area that it's in is a whole other story! I didn't feel very safe going outside, especially at night or by myself. The music that is blasting outside and the noise from the street is so loud. The first day when I valeted my car, I called for it to be brought to the front and they gave me the key without asking for any proof that it was my car, I was kind of shocked because in that neighborhood it would be so easy to steal a car, and they should be verifying it's actually your car. I later asked for my room to be cleaned, I called 3 days in a row to make sure the room would be cleaned on a specific day, they assured me it would be. The request made it into the system but no cleaning was ever done. Cesar deserves a promotion and a raise because that man made my stay worth it and he is the only reason I'm writing a review. He never fought with me, always said hi, and did everything in his power to make sure that I had a lovely stay. He wasn't working when I made the room cleaning request, but when I checked in with him later that day after housekeeping had left, he was so apologetic and compensated my stay accordingly. I would stay at any hotel he's working at!!

Loved the location, the room was so clean and comfortable it looked better than the pictures. My husband and I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very nice and the roof top dinning was excellent, staff is wonderful and valet parking was wonderful and they have security guards that keep the are safe, and they are pet friendly.

Nice hotel, would stay again. It’s too bad the Union Square area is so desolate now, but hopefully it will get better soon.

The property itself beautiful.

This was one of the best stays in a hotel I have had. From the staff to the comfort of the beds and cleanliness of the environment! Could not recommend more you feel very safe and they have security outside that is outstanding!!

Great hotel and amenities if you don't mind being basically at the edge of the tenderloin. Colorful area for sure. Excellence service in a secure building. Great stay!

Nice hotel overall. Beautiful design in a historic part of downtown

The place is very nice and clean given the area. The staff is nice and the rooftop restaurant was very impressive. You put a security hold of $200 but if you have anything charged to the room that goes over $100 they will charge you the additional amount. The difference from the $200 was refunded but it would be nice to be informed about it the $100 limit. The resort fees would count towards that $100 as well.

Nice hotel, NOISY location

Very nice hotel and staff but not the best location.

The hotel was really close to the venue we were attending a concert at, which made it very convenient to stay there. The staff and security there were all super friendly and nice. The area isn't a place you’ll want to go out at night to walk around aince there are a lot of homeless around the area and drug sellers. Someone tried selling my friend drugs once in the area so we stayed in. Also, if you have to go out at night, I would recommend going with a friend or taking an uber or lyft.

All good, except unexpected $48 per day destination fee after paying room charges and taxes.

The staff were very accommodating and understanding. The hotel is really clean, cozy and I like that the card will be swiped to use the elevator for safety.

I understand this property is in the downtown area of the city, but I didn't expect to be greeted with more than a dozen individuals congregated across the street, engaging in disruptive behavior, yelling at my sister and I when we pulled up. As two female travelers, we quickly realized this was somewhere we weren't safe staying. There was no valet lending to a very long row of cars outside the hotel. A security guard in some kind of bullet proof vest manning the door of the hotel (red flag) told us just to leave the keys in the car and go inside to check in. Really?! We moved out of the valet line and drove around the city until we found a more safe place to stay. Ironically, this was the worst we saw during our long weekend in the city. Just a bad location and bad service. Not what we've come to expect from Hilton. We're still fighting for our money back and getting the run around from both Expedia and Hilton. Do not recommend.
