I turned up almost 2 hours after check in time and my room was no ready - staff could not have been more unhelpful, particularly the male worker at reception. After asking for a refund and asking to speak to the manager I was finally provided a room in the same category that I booked. I walked past many vacant rooms on my way so staff had zero empathy. My plans had been changed and no apology offered. Would not recommend this hotel

The most magical getaway ever! Wonderful staff and oh so relaxing! The restaurant was divine and loved everything on the menu. Ate there every meal everyday! I will be returning, maybe make it my birthday trip every year! The place is beautiful and the people are too! 😍😁🏖️👍🫶❤️

Beautiful spot but the lack of air conditioning and the fact that a storm made it so the beach breeze essentially stopped for the 2nd half of our week made it very hard to be comfortable. Food was amazing and so were the staff, however, just be mindful of the time of the year you go and maybe not in the hotter months.

This was our third time staying with Breakas. They could benefit from implementing a daily shuttle bus into Vila, given they go into Vila for other business. It would save guests and average of 150Vatu bus fare each, each way. A simple thing to add value. Also add Hammocks throughout the property and more service on the beach for drinks would be nice. Overall though, lovely little spot, great staff and close to town, yet so far away.

Breakas is the perfect place to relax, unwind and spoil yourself. In our 1 week stay we only left the resort twice and did not get bored of the scenery or the menu. Live music & performances, amazing staff and laid back clientele make this a very special place to stay. Can't wait to come back!

Great mix of comfort and Vanuatu vibe. Walked around in bare feet with sand all around the fales and the staff keep it prestine. Tropical garden around the fales is exceptional.

As soon as I walked in, I felt so relaxed. I had a garden view room but it’s only a short walk to the beach, and at night time I could hear a bit of the ocean sound from my room which is very relaxing. The room is big and clean. The bathroom is quite interesting, it’s like an open one with stone walls and a hut on the top, very unique. There are so bugs but they provide you the spray and mosquito incense. All the staffs are so lovely. But if you see Jack at the bar, make sure to say hello and have a chat with him, he’s fun and awesome.

Love everything about this property; however they have to improve their breakfast. And please do something about the ants. I will stay there time and time again.

Staying in a traditional hut, no aircon but the windows and fan did an amazing job, they supplied all things for bug from spray, mozzie candle to net over the bed. The staff there is amazing! Isabella and her team are wonderful and so friendly to ask any questions! Definitely take part their cultural dinner night where you try kava that is really nice! Fire night friday and you can have a walking tour Monday or Friday. I can’t explain how amazing this place is and I can’t wait to go back!

We stayed just recently in mid January 2026. Breakas is a gorgeous place to stay in Vanuatu! It’s my pick over the bigger resorts such as Warwick on the Lagoon, here are a few reasons why. Beach access - our villa was right on the beach, you could hear the waves at night and the children playing in the ocean each morning. The other villas are a short 1min stroll through the sand to the beach. Yes Warwick has lagoon access too, via a ramp, platform and more man made like environments. It’s also very hard to swim off Warwick and into the lagoon at low tide. At Breakas the sand your toes go nto when you step out of your villa, is the sand that leads to the beach. Due to the location of the beach, locals come to swim, fish & surf regularly, which is nice to have a chat and swim together. The resort created a relaxed holiday vibe every day, without the stuffy hotel vibes. The food is great! Yummy prawns, squid, burgers, wraps, pizza and salads poolside. Delicious local steaks, pastas, seafood and chicken dishes on the dinner menu. If you like a smaller resort with friendly staff that you come to know by name, it’s the resort for you. They will help you get a local bus out the front, organise a driver for the day and quickly deliver room service. Nothing was ever a problem. We got an extra fan for our room. We also stayed 1.5 hours over our check out time as my partner wasn’t feeling well. Nothing was an issue. The daily cleaning of the room is

Ein tolles Beach Resort in bester Lage. Mit dem Minibus sind es nur 15 Minuten bis zum Bauernmarkt und Handwerkermarkt in Port Villa. Der eigene Strand ist wunderschön, gepflegt und mit kostenlosen Liegen und Sonnenschirmen ausgestattet. Kajaks, SUBs, Schnorchelausrüstung und Strandhandtücher werden kostenfrei vom Hotel zu Verfügung gestellt. Die kleinen Bungalows sind gemütlich. Das Außenbadezimmer ein besonderes Highlight. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Bar bietet eine Happy Hour mit Getränken zum günstigen Preis an. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt sogar um 1 Woche verlängert haben 😊

There was so much to like about this resort yet it still fell short in so many ways. Staff were mostly uninterested and unwelcoming (the security guy and head chef were exceptions) Rooms were very loud (you hear everything your neighbour says, dogs barking in the village, music etc) The biggest negative for me though was the fact that the resort seems to prioritize outside guest of those paying to stay there, every day they would bring their restaurant out to the pool area so you couldn't use the pool (right at sunset when you would want to have a beer in it). Day guests were often at the resort, taking up the already extremely limited space to lay by the pool or beach. On one occasion there was a large group of very drunk locals drinking and smoking at breakfast making it rater uncomfortable (does the bar need to sell drinks at 7am? let alone to people not even staying there!). The kicker for me was people being told to leave the bar and common areas on new years unless they had paid, this was atrocious behaviour the likes of which I have never seen anywhere else and Breakas should be ashamed of this. The resort was not without its good points of course. Adults only. Amazing location - snorkel right out front and a great pool overlooking the water. Room - very comfortable bed and clean nice looking room with great little deck. Gear provided - kayaks, snorkels and paddleboards.
