Nice big room. Bathroom very cramped. Great view. But it’s very dated and needs a lot of repairs. The pool has a great view but it’s missing heaps of tiles and the deck needs heaps of repairs. The hall ways look like it’s still in the 80’s. It’s stated that it’s a 6 min drive to the airport but it’s more like 20 min. Also didn’t appreciate when we checked out if they could help me with my review to get there KPI’s!!!! RED FLAG. Probably won’t stay here again. After the price we paid expecting a 5⭐️ but it’s not

It was nice very nice pool the staff was friendly and the manager was very helpful. I heard it had a Casino which i didn't get to experience but hopefully next time.

Sehr umfangreiches Kontinentales Frühstück von westlich hin bis zu vietnamesisch und gar indisch. Leider schmeckt nicht alles. Vietnamesisch aber sehr gut! (3,5/5) Unterkunft sehr sauber, entspricht soweit 5 Sterne Standard. Sehr schneller und zuvorkommender Service - nichts auszusetzen. (5/5) Es wird Essenstechnisch sehr viel a la Carte angeboten, jedoch nur Dim Sum Buffet probiert - sehr gut! Wir haben ein paar a la Carte Gerichte probiert, zumal als Zimmerservice und auch beim Pool. Etwas teurer für Vietnamesische Verhältnisse und kleinere Portionen. (3,5/5) Infinity Pool mit dieser Aussicht ist einmalig. Pool jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, es haben sich bereits mehrere Mosaikfliesen gelöst.(4/5) Es gibt ein Spa, da haben wir eine Manicüre in Anspruch genommen. Nichts auszusetzen. (4/5) Wir haben als kleine Überraschung zum Geburtstag ein Stück Torte bekommen, was ebenso sehr gut war. Alles in allem eine sehr gute Erfahrung, entspricht im Großen und Ganzen 5 Sterne Service zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Diesen bekommt man nicht bei internationalen Ketten wie jw, Hilton etc. Das la Vela haben wir jeweils 3 Nächte im Apartment und 3 Nächte im Doppelzimmer Besucht. Das nächste Mal kommen wir definitiv wieder. Wir geben (4,5/5)!

I had high expectations for this property based on videos we had seen, however felt like it did not live up to them. The hotel room was nice, the bed very comfortable and the staff friendly. The letdown was the buffets. We had the seafood buffet one night, the dim sum buffet one night and breakfast buffet each morning. While there was a variety of different foods at each of these, the quality was not great. The lobster was overcooked and dry which was disappointing and most other foods didn't have a lot of flavor and a lot of items were cold even when they had just been bought out as 'fresh'. For the price you're paying, I would have expected more

This was a beautiful hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating. The food was excellent. The roof top pool and bar was outstanding. We loved it so much we extended our stay another 4 days just for this. Everyone says that District 1 is the only place to stay. The La Vela is in District 3 and it’s worth making the change to District 3 just for this stay as you can always get a cheap taxi to District 1 if you want. It’s a great place to stay.

Stay here simply for the rooftop pool which is incredible. The vibe is a bit more younger and party like, especially with the casino in the building, and it was a bit noisy simply because of the volume of people transiting through the hotel at all hours. I wouldn’t stay here if you wanted relaxation. The choice of restaurants and dining onsite was really good. The quality of the steak restaurant surprised us and was good value. Location is good for proximity to airport as well as downtown sights and culture. You can see the hotel and rooms are starting to look a bit tired, but if you can look past that and you want a fun hotel then this will tick a lot of boxes.
