They were very friendly and they had some amazing food for us. I felt like I was in a true hostile.

Hai and Chilly were fabulous hosts, communicative and always happy to assist in any way. As it was winter we opted to stay in the village. The family sized room with 2 king beds and bathroom plus your own seating and hammock out the front situated in lovely gardens was a great place to recover after doing the Ha Giang Loop. Basic breakfast is included, lunch and dinner are available with dinners being shared dishes with other guests which gives the opportunity to meet others. You can hire bikes next door for 30000 D and the team can organise day trips and transport. We did the afternoon kayaking with bbq on a floating village followed by night kayaking to spot the phosphorescence and really enjoyed it. Depending on where you are coming from it is a little tricky to get there- bus, ferry, shuttle bus, speed boat and golf buggy but they can assist you with these arrangements as they did with us . If you just want somewhere to unwind for a day or 2 or use as a base for day trips the accommodation is a really great cheap option. Thanks for making us feel so welcome!

Very nice homestay, in a gorgeous area. The accomodations were spacious and had lovely terraces; the gardens were beautiful and the food was excellent. I would recommend eating with the other guests at the homestay. The staff was lovely and helpful. But, it was fairly difficult getting to the homestay (ferry to CatBa, drive across the Island, another ferry to LanHa) so keep that in mind.
