Central Studios

Great location, comfortable bed and nice hot shower. The kitchen and fridge are a bonus. Having to pay for parking is something we're not used to but a necessary evil in a big city. Always able to find a spot and the app was easy to use. Our biggest issue was so many narrow stairs but only because we're old and had heavy luggage lol. Would definitely stay here again.

Cons - The mattress was a bit dipped where other people have slept but it was comfortable enough. The shower was fantastic, great pressure and good temperature but for some reason it was running cold one evening which limited my partners shower - it worked fine again the next morning. The thermostat was heating up higher when we were pressing the minus to try to make the room cooler so we kept the door open but these were small issues. And lastly, the cleaner knocked on the door and then immediately let themselves in to change the bins, as much as we appreciate the service, we were in the room and didn’t have time to answer the door before they had let themselves in, so felt it was a little unusual for them to not wait a few moments as it was a bit invasive of privacy. Pros - We had an annex type of room at the back of the building which led to the garden area and also a small area of our own with table and chairs outside, so it was lovely, mostly quiet and private at the back of the property. Easy access with code and fob. The room & bathroom were modern, cosy and clean, with an excellent shower. A nice selection of tea/coffee and complimentary biscuits, a fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, sink, TV with netflix. We were also able to get a late checkout last minute for a fee of £15 until 1pm instead of 10:30am which was lovely. Regardless of the small things we had a lovelystay and will be coming back again in future. Thank you! :)

Very accommodating hosts. Allowed us to check in early, and responded quickly to any messages we sent on WhatsApp. Everything in the property was as described. Excellent central Cardiff location. Good quality bathroom and shower. The TV with subscription services was especially welcome. Our only complaints were that it was too hot during our stay, and they didn't have a fan to give us on the first night; and the mattress is very well worn in the middle, so coupled with the heat it wasn't a comfortable sleep the first night. However, they did give us a fan the second night, so it was better.

Great place to stay central to the city with personal touches such as you name on the doorbell when arriving. Clean and high standard. Easy access to paid streetparking, no issues even during peak. Only issue we had booking through Hotels.com was that check-in instructions weren't emailed out, just sent via WhatsApp. Considering we come from a country where WhatsApp is virtually non existent that's a little snag (I happen to have it installed cause of recent travels, but normally don't).

Really good location, spotlessly clean with everything you could need. We will definitely stay again.

Great location right near football stadium in central Cardiff and walking distance to many hot spots/food in Cardiff. Very clean/modern room. was able to find free street parking close to room. save environment.

Highly recommend staying here. The place was warm, fully equipped with all you need for a weekend away in Cardiff! Brilliant location only 10 minute walk into the city centre and 30 minute walk to the bay and even better if you are there for the stadium as it’s right on your doorstep. 100% returning! Amazing location for city centre and rugby. Room was great with lovely shower. Room had microwave and fridge and comfy bed . We will be back.

This aparthotel exceeded expectations — perfectly located in the city centre, just a stone’s throw from Cardiff Central station, the river, and the beautiful Bute Park. Despite being so central, the apartment was very quiet, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The apartment itself was spotless, cozy, and stunningly decorated, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The complimentary chocolate was a lovely touch and made me feel even more welcome. Abi and Charlie were fantastic hosts — warm, helpful, and incredibly efficient. They provided updates and check-in information from the time of booking right up to arrival. Getting the key from the key safe was a bit fiddly, but when I called, I received a prompt and helpful response to quickly resolve it. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family. It will be my go-to spot whenever I visit Cardiff again!

Quite small but has all that's needed for a short stay. Clean, modern and well-kept. Easy check-in. Located a stone throw's away from the city center but very quiet at night.

Apartments were very centrally located, right next to the stadium and town. Very clean and very comfortable. Easy check in system. Will stay again.

The studio was so small that, when moving from the left to the right side of the bed, I had to walk sideways. My feet had to be in a slanted position; it was uncomfortable. The building was too close to its neighbor. The studio I got looked nothing like its depiction on Expedia. To enjoy some privacy, I improvised curtains made out of black garbage bags. It rained consistently for most of my stay, so I stayed inside. There were dark gray skies and no natural light anywhere. In spite of the nice fixtures, I felt I was in a hole. There was an endless parade of undesirable characters producing undesirable noises in attempts to create a totally undesirable contact; just as I had predicted and expressed concern about when I made my reservation. After I set up my safety gadgets, the noises subsided but never ceased. They were most noticeable late morning or early afternoon, right before a “housekeeper” would knock on my door. Oddly, they wanted to come inside to pick-up the trash. On one occasion, there was a soft knock followed by an attempt to get inside. My safety gadgets prevented the intrusion. I opened the door then and found a young woman wearing a hijab; I felt a little unsettled. I asked the woman to please bring me a roll of toilet paper the next day and leave by my door. That did not happen. The undesirable noises also happened late at different nights. It was like new misguided creatures believed they could “get me” by doing more of the same. It was nauseating.

Stayed in top floor studio. Excellent condition and near central Cardiff. New build with clean, spacious, and well equipped room. Excellent option for self-catering with microwave, fridge, sink and utensils. Great communication for access and services, as well as and room cleaning too.

I am a visitor from Germany and don’t know Cardiff. This place was very clean and nicely fitted out/decorated, with some nice modern touches which lifted the place above the average and made it feel more cheerful :-) Everything I needed was there. I felt comfortable and safe. Great location with bus stop outside the door and very close to city centre and train station. The only thing I would recommend is checking the mattress-which seemed to be uneven. It may be time for a new one! Many thanks for a very good stay.
