The Anchorage Hotel

The hotel was very peaceful. I have stayed at the anchorages hotel for the past 4 years. Great value. Love it.

Good size room in annexe building. Comfy bed. Self service breakfast was basic but ok. No restaurant but a number of options in treaddur bay. A basic hotel but OK for short stay.

Parking was very easy and abundant. Room was quiet and quite large. Water was hot in the shower. Breakfast was self serve and adequate if not exciting. Coffee was only Nescafé and not good

Disappointing Service and Technical Issues We had a frustrating experience during our recent stay. Upon arrival, we discovered that none of the power outlets in our room were functioning. This meant we were unable to charge our devices, use the lamps, or even make a cup of tea or coffee. We arrived around 9:30 PM, and while we understood that reception was closed for the night, we attempted to call the provided emergency contact number several times. Unfortunately, no one answered. The following morning, we explained the situation to a member of the cleaning staff. She was incredibly apologetic and kind; she even took our kettle to the main hotel building to boil it for us so we could have a hot drink, which we truly appreciated. However, our experience with management was less than satisfactory. We encountered the manager, and despite it being obvious that he was aware of the electrical issues, he offered no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. It was clear that this was a pre-existing problem, as we noticed other guests had extension cables running from their bedrooms to external power sources. While the room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable, the property feels dated and is in need of some TLC. If management had simply acknowledged the issue and communicated with us, we would have been far more understanding. Given the price and the lack of professional service, I believe there are better accommodation options in the area.

Really nice room and location, it’s a good base for Trearddur Bay and other parts of Anglesey .The staff are very friendly and helpful

Perfect little hotel. Commute to the ferry terminal is 10 mins, comfy bed after a 6 hour drive. Host was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended

Warm welcome by staff. Quiet. No hassle continental breakfast facilities. Spacious twin room with an incredibly comfy bed. Loads of parking and convenient to local shops including Treaddur Bay.

Door late arrival geen receptie open. Was vooraf gemeld en netjes geregeld. Kamer was schoon, had waterkoker voor warme dranken en goed bed. Badkamer ouderwets maar wel schoon. Tegenvaller was dat er ook voor het bestelde ontbijt geen service was. Moest het doen met croissant, beetje sap, chocoladebroodje, melk en klein kuipje jam uit koelkast halen en op eigen kamer opeten. Ook nog wat kleine appels en bananen. Uiteindelijk niemand gezien.

We had a lovely stay here…booked very last minute and arrived with a lovely welcome. The room was very clean and warm and we had a beautiful view of the inland sea and mountains beyond. The bed was really comfy. They were very welcoming of our 2 dogs. We had a drink in the bar before walking into trearddur for dinner. The walk was very pleasant and is only 1.5 miles. There was a little room with a basic continental breakfast, just a nice little addition. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, yea it’s a bit dated and the shower was a bit temperamental but other than that I can’t fault it at all!

Great hotel which is pet friendly and so close to the port which is perfect for early / late crossings. David was lovely and so accommodating. Cheap and cheerful, and comfy bed to rest your head! Only request is needs a little updating

Clean warm room , all I needed for 1 night

Room wasn't the cleanest , restaurant was closed with only not so local places to eat . At least 2 miles in either direction. Bar closed at 8 . Booked for two nights headed home after one . Before we left we went back to the room finding it being straightened and not very well . All in all avoid !!

Parking was easy staff were great room was clean

Really lovely place would definitely recommend and will be going again. Pet friendly lovely rooms shower and bath, tv wifi and you can eat and drink there at the pub part.

My mother and I came for a night and we were delighted with the lovely rooms. My mother chose the room with a bathroom that had a grabrail and a chair to sit on and it suited her well. The rooms were cosy and warm. The breakfast was a "help yourself" affair with cereal, yoghurts, brioche and croissants which you took to your room to eat. Milk and juices were in the fridge. A toaster would be a good addition with honey and jam but we were fine. There is no evening meal available here at the moment but we were given a list of places to eat nearby which was helpful. All in all, it was clean, warm, and the rooms were very nice. Thank you.

No food except some breakfast items but we went to the cafe behind the Spar. Great room, tidy, clean corner window double aspect. Good sleep.

No cooked breakfast although there was a continental breakfast

Stay was very comfortabe with adequate amenities for short stay. Quiet, peaceful and very convenient for the areas to visit.
