No restaurant, cramped room /bed seemed damp

Great location. Parking. Good quality breakfast. Lots to do nearby.

What a disappointment it was. No restaurant no bar very tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. Cooked breakfast was soaking in old oil.Supply of bread ran out so they rushed to shop for more. Bedroom was very low standard and housekeeping was done once during our 4 night stay. I had booked to stay in a hotel not a Chinese restaurant the whole place smelt of Chinese cooking!!! The decor was very substandard and in desperate need of decorating.

Super friendly manager and perfect for a short stay in Betws y Coed. Rooms were clean and there were several amenities that i was hoping for. Tremendous hiking trail right behind the hotel. I highly recommend The Dragon.

Wonderful convenient place to stay in Betws! Wonderful breakfast and spacious rooms.

Shower controls broken knob was not attached anymore to shower so difficult to control or turn off. Radiator was also the same was set on full blast and unable to turn off. Left a night early, was told she would get someone in to fix but no offer off a partial refund the night we left early. It was like a sauna in the room

Room was basic but clean, good breakfast.

Lee the owner was very friendly and tries hard. Chinese Restaurant and Bar have not been available since 2020. Why is Expedia still advertising it being open? indeed the Dragon website says (temporarily unavailable) unfortunately i booked with Expedia. Room 14 is fine

I stayed at The Dragon for 5 nights in October 2024 and was fully satisfied with the accommodations. The room was much better than expected, fairly large, very clean and comfy. The curtains could be a little thicker as I like a very dark room but it wasn't an issue given the time of year. The bathroom had good water pressure and plentiful hot water. The Wi-Fi was great and was nice to have a decent TV, too. The bed was a real gem - I had stayed in a dozen or so dif places in this extended vacation before getting to Betws-Y-Coed and this bed was for sure the best or second best I had slept in. I would stay here again if back in the area.

Worn out dirty and damp certainly not worth £90 per night not even £20 We booked 3 rooms one was so bad my friend moved to another hotel, requested a refund but told in no uncertain words NO

Very tired and dated hotel. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean but needed updating. This hotel is clearly in decline though the staff member was helpful and polite. Food was okay too, we only had breakfast as the restaurant side was closed down. Our room overlooked the main road into the river opposite so wasn't a mountain view as first stated. Wouldn't stay again unless it was updated.

Advertised as having a restaurant and lounge bar. Both are now closed, so it's really just a B&B. I wouldn't have booked here if I had been aware of this as this meant we had to find somewhere else to eat and get a drink, which I hate having to do. I had to phone twice to get access to check in as place was locked. Seems to be run by one lady on her own. Hotel very dated and tired. We had to clean the shower head as it was covered in mould before we could use it. Cobwebs above bed and side wall lights heavy with dust. Breakfast was very good though. Really needs advertised description updated urgently.

The ladies were lovely the food was nice and the room was clean but other areas were not to clean needs a bit of tlc

We only saw the owner at breakfast. The restaurant was closed.

Terrible experience. Unable check In due to the place not being open. Very poor condition. Not one to recommend
