Absolutely brilliant destination if you are staying in Barmouth, Cannot fault rooms at all, all staff polite and could not be more helpful, breakfast excellent no matter who was cooking and lovely bar area. Has shared parking with another hotel but plenty of space.

Lovely pub/hotel in the centre of the town. Helpful staff, well appointed nicely designed rooms and an excellent breakfast. Secured parking across the road for hotel guests. Excellent.

Lovely hotel even had air conditioning in the hot weather. Service by staff at bar and breakfast really polite and attentive. Good choice of breakfast and quality of food we had ( eggs royale and ricotta scrambled eggs) was fantastic.

Good stuff, parking well controlled, check in fine, room on the surface looked good, breakfast quite nice
Bad stuff, car chargers wouldn’t work (tried 4), noise from the external ac units kept us awake, strobe from smoke detector kept us awake, noise from presume staff and others kept us awake, security light coming on all the time kept us awake, shower door missing meaning water soaks the floor (door to bathroom doesn’t close properly without effort due to water damage) the window locks on the sash window didn’t work and no restricters (health and safety hazard) ac in room very noisy
All this meant we left a day early as couldn’t do two nights without sleep, could only imagine that the Friday night would have been worse for noise from outside
Sadly won’t be choosing this place to stay should we return to Barmouth

The Tilman is a really well kept hotel but the rooms are lacking a mini fridge, apert from that we had a lovely stay and an excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and piping hot.

We had a wonderful stay in this delightful hotel.
We had a front room on the second floor with a first rate bathroom. We had a double sized shower and bath.
The breakfast choice was huge. The Gatherers breakfast was superb. The Caernarfon sausages delicious. We hop th stay there again.

Looked recently refurbished, bathroom especially the shower excellent and air conditioning as well, didn't expect that. Liked the idea of a small bottle of milk and the coffee bags for your morning brew!
Breakfast ok some of it not quite upto standard.
Overall though very pleased and Barmouth is a lovely resort.

Breakfast was excellent, room clean and tidy, only complaint was air conditioning wasn't working at full capacity l. Did speak to staff about it he apologised and said they were waiting for an engineer to eventually turn up. Bedroom was very warm as weather was hot, couldn't open window as room backed on to hotel terrace

We had a wonderful time at the Tilman. Check in was great, we were asked if we wanted a hand with our luggage despite the bar being full.
The room, no 1, overlooked the road but the noise was negligible as there was secondary glazing. Bed very comfortable. Great shower and towels. Water and soft drink provided along with tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Breakfast was amazing. A great choice of cooked options and cereals, yoghurts, pastries etc. We found the ingredients of very good quality.
We had one dinner, burger and chips which, again, was super tasty. Purple Moose IPA can be recommended.
Parking was just around the corner in a private car park. Very helpful.
Last, but by no means least, the staff were super friendly and engaging. We felt very welcome.

The room was really nice.but there was mould in the bathroom.all night long and an extracter fan was going.so didn't get much sleep.
The pub itself really needed a good clean.breakfast was very greasy.
Staff were really helpful except for the girl who was speaking Welsh all the time.she wasn't very helpful but the guys who worked there were great.i wouldn't return but wouldn't return to barmouth.it was dirty & rundown.dog poo everywhere.dogs everywhere you went.

Comfy, well decorated room, great bathroom and excellent breakfast.
We were on the top floor and the air conditioning wasn't working, so it was a bit hot to sleep and too noisy with the windows open

Our third stay there, and there's no negatives from us.
We were on third floor which gave us great view of beach and sea, but stairs could cause you a problem if you have mobility issues.
Great breakfast and they're happy to juggle the menu if needed (gluten free friendly).
All the staff polite, friendly and helpful.
And the icing on the cake is the parking within yards.
Will be back!!

Bright room with kingsize comfortable bed but mold in shower room needs to be addressed as it's really unsightly and unhealthy and it has been mentioned in other reviews.
Breakfast was good but there was quite a long wait.

Nice comfy room with a sea view, comfortable bed, super friendly staff, a nice pub and good breakfast in a great location. Also parking was free :) there were just minor things to improve - the door handle in the bathroom was loose as well as the temperature setting in the shower. Also internet was unstable so if you wanna stream something, its almost impossible. We had room 12 on the third floor, which we didnt mind, but consider if youre older or require
