Lovely country inn. Very friendly. A bit out of town 8 mins. Only drawback was no breakfast, but not a problem as Cowbridge has plenty of nice options.

Last minute booking. Extremely spacious and comfortable suite. Excellent food and beer. Lovely friendly welcome and service from both ladies behind the bar. Will definitely return.

This was a last minute booking for our family of 4 attending an event in Cardiff. This is possibly one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. The family room is actually made up of 3 large rooms. A living room, bedrom, and bathroom. The living room contains a large sofa which is also a double sofa bed. Oddly, there is no TV. This didn't bother us, but some might expect one. The bedroom contains a king sized double bed which was extremely comfortable, and a large walk-in wardrobe. The very large bathroom had no bath, but a very large walk-in wet room style shower which we preferred to a bath. Tea/coffee and other facilities can be found in a shared kitchen area just outside the room. Still and sparkling bottled water is provided in the room. Decor appeared luxurious and in perfect condition. The room was absolutely immaculately clean akin to a brand new show home. The view from the windows was pleasant over the quiet village with field afar and the neighbouring churchyard. We woke to the sound of lambs bleeting and birds singing. The landlord was very friendly and welcoming. The private carpark is large with plenty of spaces.

Don't stay at this hotel if you are a single female. I arrived on Monday only to find the place shut with no food available. Had to drive out in the dark in a strange place to find something to eat. Was left in the whole building on my own feeling very vulnerable with no staff on site overnight. Could not watch TV as no TV aerial. Spoke to owner and he laughed

We had a wonderful stay at the White Lion. The room and bathroom are beautifully done and very comfortable for a cozy sleep. The staff are absolutely lovely and super helpful, the owner Chris even gave us a ride to a party, which we were very grateful for. Everything was superb, from the room, the delicious food and the wonderful staff. 10/10 and we very much look forward to coming back. Thank you Chris and all your staff for making our stay so fantastic!

Lovely decorated and easy to access. Stay in area regularly to visit and would be looking to stay again.
