Spotlessly clean room and very friendly staff

Väldigt centralt, busshållplats precis utanför entrén som tar dig nästan överallt i London. Kommer man från Norden och är van vid tex grönsaker till frukost blir man lite besviken. Frukosten är väldigt "brittisk" men för ett par dagars vistelse är den bra. AC:n i rummen låter en del så är man känslig för ljud så kan det upplevas som störigt. Hotellet ligger på en trafikerad gata och rummen på våning är 1 är nära markplan. Trevlig personal, rena rum, bra dusch

We were a group and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was very conveniently located for our activities with everything within walking distance. Very comfortable rooms and beds.

Det var rent och snyggt på rummet, en skön säng och ett rätt så rimligt frukostutbud.

Clean room friendly staff

Managed to get an early check in but in a different room. We were given an accessible room, which was fine, however the walk in shower did go all over the bathroom floor, as the shower curtain isn't quite wide or long enough. Bed was very comfy. Staff are really friendly. We were on the 2nd room and we did get noise from the street at night until quite early in the morning. We would stay again but would ask for a quieter/higher floor room if possible.

Goeie ligging. Vriendelijk personeel. Ok ontbijt. Kleine kamer met zicht op achtermuur. Luide aircobak in de kamer die niet kan uitgezet worden. Veel kruimels en ander vuil op het tapijt onder bed.

A lovely room, clean and the bed very comfortable. Had dinner in Brasserie my menu choice was excellent. Only stayed for one night, wish I was staying longer.

Hotel is in a good area and clean, rooms are larger with good storage, just some littel things, like the bar area closed with no notes for decorating, if i woukd of no this i would no of stayed, the door by the lifts slamming all night, their shoukd be a stopper for the noise,

Siisti hotelli, erinomainen sijainti, hyvä monipuolinen aamiainen. Ikkunat hieman veroisia huoneessamme, lämpöä sai lisätä lokakuussa. Onneksi tämä onnistui huonekohtaisesti, mikä auttoi.

Our rooms were very quiet considering central location. More variety of snacks, other than just crisps, in the bar during the day e.g. biscuits, cakes would be good as the restaurant didnt cater for this.

Its been a few years since I have used Thistle opting for more modern hotel brands of late when visiting London. The hotel lacked warmth and atmosphere. The room was cold and some of the corridors even colder. Despite increasing the room control, there was little impact. The bar was sterile and the menu gave reason why the restaurant appeared sad and lonely. Such a shame as I am a big fan of Holborn which itself has plenty to offer and excellently located. Ultimately, Thistle appears to be a brand with its best years in the rear view mirror. I'm looking forward to a future for Thistle that restores the great heritage of yesteryear but embraces the best features of contemporary hospitality.
