I've been staying at this hotel periodically for last 20 years for our family reunion. It's been several different names, but the building has remained. The signs posted show that the building is under construction with updating, which it definitely needs. We stayed in the 4th floor and they had been painting recently as our room numbers were affixed with blue painters tape. Inside, everything was clean and updated so no concerns with our room. They did not have a roll away bed for my 6-year-old son so I had to bring a fold out cot for him since we're a family of 5. The hotel has a "fitness center" which is just a couple of cardio machines thrown in a room. The atrium had a morning breakfast buffet included (just ok) but every single table was wobbly. The pool used way to much chlorine and had a side drain that wasn't draining so a moat formed from all the splashing. The bathrooms in the pool hadn't been cleaned in I don't know how long since there was a black ring around the toilet. No towels were restocked. I did hear a staff member complain (I was walking by) at some point about the workload from being understaffed. I could definitely tell. I only saw 3-4 employees all weekend. The attached restaurant is now a Mexican restaurant and they were very accommodating for our large group and the food was pretty good for the area. All in all, the hotel needs some work and help, so hopefully it will be revived when I'm back in 2 years.

Hotel is getting an upgrade, but the room was kind of dirty the floor dirty lights didn’t work. Outlets didn’t work curtains falling off.

There were random drunk homeless people asleep in the hall. There was a bug in my bed. There was a random shirt left from a previous guest left by the door.

Could just use a good cleaning. We could tell its a work in progress. This hotel has so much potential!! I would suggest a way to cool it better. With the pool in an area that is open, the lobby and seating area feel hot and humid. The workers were all friendly and helpful.

Room was nice and clean. Enjoyed the Mexican restaurant on site for an after hours drink and appetizer. Breakfast was average. Could have had more of a variety of food.

Room had bed bugs

I don't know what everybody else is talking about, but the hotel is nice, the beds were comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. They were doing some construction but you could barely hear it. I heard the kids in the pool over the construction. Overall nice hotel, will be coming back!

My only complaint is with the breakfast. One morning they had French fries for breakfast. They had gray two mornings but only had biscuits with it one day. Breakfast could certainly use some improvement.

The hotel was great, Clean and the staff was friendly! The free breakfast was amazing! And the kids loved the pool! There’s a dollar general close to it which was perfect for the little things we forgot to pack and there was a cool Robert Wadlow Statue close to the hotel as well. Overall it was a 10/10 for us

Outstanding service!

They say it is being renovated when you get there, but it was not posted on Hotels.com when we booked, The place is dirty, mold in the bathrooms, and while it did have a pathetic breakfast. there was almost no food and no one attending to the area. I want to add over the past 7-8 years we have stayed here once every 3 months and it is just getting wprst every time

Not worth

This hotel was under remodel with limited options. The power went out and due to our room was on the 4th floor and the option to get to the lobby was dangerous. The hotel did not have any emergency lighting so stepping out in the hall to find the stairways was completely dark. once we found the stairway, it was also not lit and we used the our cell phones to get down the 4 flights. The stairs were littered with garbage and total trip traps.

A little dated and gaudy but clean and nice. Staff are cool and friendly. The Mexican restaurant on location is good too. I got the house margarita which had a heavy pour and a chicken quesadilla.

Construction happening during stay. Have keys to my room to other guess while my kids in the room. Pool was closed but no one was working and looked in good condition. Not properly managed.

Our stay was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Toilet seat was very loose. Bathroom a bit dirty, dirt in corners. A channel guide for the TV would have been handy to have. Tables in the breakfast area all seem to be wiggly. Breakfast items were a bit subpar.
