Despite a the hotel affecting many hotels, the staff at this hotel were kind and helpful. They apologized for what they said was limited breakfasr options, but it was one of the better buffet breakfasts I’ve had while traveling.

The hotel is in a great location, close to everything. The breakfast was good, and the hotel was very clean. The only drawback was that our room was located in the basement.

I really enjoyed staying at the Thon Hotel Orion. The hotel itself is beautiful with a great color palette in the rooms, cafe, and lobby. It is very close to everything in town but in a quiet nook away from the hustle bustle, The reception was very helpful and friendly. They made you feel very comfortable and at ease. The room we stayed in was spacious and very clean. It had stylish furniture and a very comfortable bed. The shower was excellent with great water pressure and warm water. I loved the free breakfast with so many choices, from croissants to a variety of eggs, pancakes, bacon, fruit, etc. It was a great way to start the day. One extra thing I really liked about the Thon Hotel Orion was its lounge area with unlimited coffee and tea. Many guests would hang out there after their daily travels and it was really spacious, colorful, and comfortable so you didn't have to just sit in your room. I highly recommend staying here!

Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant is not open for any other meals. Snacks are available at the front desk is partial bar for drinks.

Its walking distance to Bryggen (less than 5min), there is a grocery store (bunnpris) 2min away. It was heat wave in Europe around the time we were in Bergen, and since most norway (& europe) accommodation do NOT have AC, we were able to borrow a small fan at the front desk which helped a lot. Our room was average size (in Europe) and updated.

Breakfast was well laid out and extensive though after the third day it got v repetitive!

Fantastisk beliggende hotel meget tæt ved Bryggen i Bergen. Indretningen er farverig og giver et eksklusivt indtryk uden at blive for meget. Vi sov 2 voksne og 2 store børn på et familie værelse, og kunne godt have brugt lidt mere plads. Udover det, så var det rigtig fint og pænt og vi manglede ikke noget. Parkeringen var betalt parkering lige bagved hotellet i område, som krævede adgangskort (udlånt af hotellet og afregnet direkte med hotellet). Efter få minutters gang fra hotellet befandt man sig på Bryggen, som er et must see i Bergen. Efter ydermere et par minutters gang er man ved Fløibanen, som tager én op til Fløyen - et andet must see i Bergen. Morgenmadsbuffeten var fantastisk, og der var alt hvad man kan tænke sig til morgenmad, så dagen startede helt perfekt. Kan varmt anbefale dette hotel, hvis man skal overnatte et godt og centralt sted i Bergen.

Great location on main street where the iconic landmarks are. The lobby is well equipped with water, coffee, tea. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean, large, comfortable.
