Close to area we wanted to see

Husband woke up with bites all over his leg. Told the desk about it and the reply was " Ok, thats fine."

We stay here whenever we are in Portsmouth. Other than the rooms being outdated and a little musty (our room, anyway), it is a nice and convenient place to stay. We stayed in Room 201… right off of the elevator and we thought it would be loud in that area, but it wasn’t at all!

Hotel could use an update, hard to get hot .

I I liked the attached diner which we could access without going outside. Very friendly front desk staff

First person checking in was not helpful. Asked me for my credit card 2 times and i told him that I already handed it to you. 2nd the room wasnt clean- tjeirnwas dust on the desk, under tje bathroom sink, and stains on the bed linens. Batjroom door was hard to latch,bed mattress were uncomfortable. 3rd i went tonmove my car out of water and i didnt feel safe outside. 4th the amount of people using drugs outside so close to building. No designated spot for smokers away from building and doors. Inwas traveling with a baby and the smell of pot was smelled all threw out the 1st floor near the pool.

My only complaint was the smell, it wasn't unbearable but the room did smell like body odor when we walked in. We adjusted and the sheets and bathroom were clean. Staff was nice and check in was easy.

The shower head in the bathroom had no water pressure. Other than that, it was a nice room!

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay and are only there to sleep, then this is your place. It is checper then the other hotels in the area. If you are looking to enjoy the extras like the pool, gym etc..I would not recommend staying here.

There's a diner connected and you get a discount at it. The location is perfect for a road trip.

This property offered more than initially met the eye. Rooms were modernized, clean and quiet and there is a great diner on the property with delicious food. Parking is tight, but otherwise convenient to highway and all local attractions.

The smoke alarm went off at 6:30 am. It apparently had a low battery.

Staff cannot answer any questions regarding my stay. The only answer I got was "You booked through Trivago,you need to contact them". This included just questions about receipts after I had to pay $50 to them upon arrival and again asked at departure. O was never told there would be an additional charge.

We were originally booked 10 days, but came back and stayed an extra night. Our first room had ants in the bathroom. Like a lot. They were coming up from the floor. After 3 days of no help, we bought some tape and taped over the hole. Other than that the stay was perfect. When we originally checked in we were told there was no elevator access so we got a new room without any problems. Excellent location. Really yummy diner attached.

Strong smell of mold on second floor…. no free breakfast but they had a diner next-door that was mediocre at best

Property is old and not well maintained.

The property is on a busy traffic circle but in a good location. The room was clean, bed comfortable, quiet and we had a good night’s sleep. Paid extra for a breakfast and it was at the diner just a few steps from the hotel lobby. It was great with three choices. Portsmouth is loaded with great dining options. Love its downtown!
