The most significant issue was the bed. It was extremely uncomfortable, and the bedding and linen felt very low quality for a hotel claiming five-star standards.
The bathroom also had maintenance problems. The shower was leaking, and overall the room did not feel particularly comfortable.
Room service was also problematic. The staff taking orders did not appear to speak English sufficiently to handle basic requests. When we ordered food, we had to repeatedly explain that I have a dairy allergy. This resulted in several calls back and forth, and we were never confident that the request had been properly understood. Ultimately, I could not eat the food because of this uncertainty.
At one point, when we asked to be transferred to the kitchen to clarify the order, the staff inadvertently connected us to another guest staying in the hotel. Later, during checkout, we noticed that we had actually been charged for that call.
Although the staff eventually apologized and said it was an oversight, the charge should have been removed immediately after the incident occurred, especially since they were aware of the mistake at the time. Leaving it on the bill until checkout felt careless and unprofessional.
Overall impression
For the price and the five-star classification, the hotel fell well short of expectations. The overall experience did not justify the cost of the stay.
