I considered several hotels for this trip but ultimately chose La Mamounia because of its reputation as one of Marrakech's most iconic hotels, despite it being at a much higher price point. Unfortunately, it was a real disappointment. Throughout my stay, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. There seemed to be security everywhere, and rather than feeling looked after, I felt like I was constantly being monitored. It created a very uncomfortable atmosphere and made it difficult to relax. The biggest disappointment came on my final day. I asked if a late check-out was possible and was told noon was the latest available, which I completely understood. I then asked if I could stay in the lobby or continue using the hotel's facilities until I needed to leave for the airport. To my surprise, I was told no and was essentially asked to leave the property once I had checked out. For a hotel of this reputation and price, I expected much better hospitality. Luxury isn't just about beautiful surroundings, it's about making guests feel welcome. Sadly, that wasn't my experience here, and I left feeling disappointed rather than looked after. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

It’s a beautiful hotel. Not a road or anything traditional, but absolutely spectacular with the service being top notch. If you want unique, this isn’t it but if you want perfection. This is it.

Loved the restaurants and the staff. Excellent Raib upon arrival. Very attentive and the place was very busy but our room was still quiet. Nice room. Would recommend.

Très bel hôtel avec une deco d’un savant mélange de modernisme et de tradition marocaine. Personnel à l’écoute, room service soigné. Rien à dire, tout est parfait.

Lagom temperatur i poolen

My room was freezing cold. Unfortunately the radiator from 1920 didn’t work. The engineer made 4 trips with different tools at 11:00 at night but still couldn’t get it to work. I slept in my clothes. The shower was lovely but seriously flooded the bathroom with 3 inches of water. My chicken dinner at the Asian restaurant was undercooked which is a recipe for serious illness and rice was $15 extra. Not great value for your money. .the security was oppressive until I understood why and then it was much appreciated. The comped my drink but still

Fantastisk sted

My bed mattress was so soft that I woke up next day with a very serious back pain. Not good when a week of golf is following your stay at this prestigious hotel. I ask them to correct it , and they did changed the mattress promptly. Nevertheless , such a high rated hotel ( and high cost one) should not accept from their staff a badly used mattress to the point where it is ruined down. Another détail: you flush the toilet, yet it does not eliminate the paper still floating after 2-3 flushes. Hum…..
