It was a terrible experience for us. The bathroom was moldy and had a very strong, unpleasant smell. This place clearly needs a full renovation and proper cleaning. It’s unacceptable to charge people money while offering such poor conditions. They post nice pictures on the booking site, but the reality is completely different—and much worse. I would never recommend this place to anyone. We forgot to take a picture. We couldn’t stand there even 1 min. We just walked in and out .

Nothing at all like the pictures. The refrigerator is disgusting and rusted inside, the microwave is old and very stained , the bathtub is stained and the fixtures are corroded and rusty!!!! Ants in the bed . 0/10 Do not recommend!!!!!

Wouldn’t recommend rooms are disguting

It was good be nice if had Roku tv in the room I was in instead of having to login my phone to watch tv

The staff were all very nice but unfortunately the property is really in need of a serious renovation!

Room was damp, smelled bad. Bathtub was severly rusted. Breakfast was a joke. Service desk was unmanned for checkout. We left early because the room was terrible.

This place was dirty, the tub had mold in it and looked like the water spout etc hasn’t been cleaned in forever. The mirrors and television were dirty as well. My feet were filthy from walking around barefoot. Dresser drawers were broken

Property should be condemned. Fly filled rooms and downright filthy. Front desk gentleman was very nice and helpful. Otherwise avoid at all costs.

Very bad smelly blankets toilets were horrible and was bad experience

Please see photos. Shower and bath were in terrible conditions. Water was yellow and smelled of rust. Didn’t dare brush our teeth with that water.

The place is very eerie. Flies everywhere. The water stank in the shower. Smelly room.

The pictures are very misleading, DO NOT STAY HERE, booked a room for one night since I was in the area and was not impressed the minute I pulled in, my room had mold in the bathroom and it looked like the remodel they did was just paint on the walls. My neighbor next door to me was outside smoking a crack pipe. Never again, avoid at all costs

I didn't expect a luxury stay when we chose econolodge, but this was more disappointing than anticipated. We stayed here last year, too for the same reason- close to Chincoteague and more affordable. The room was in our condition and the pool was closed. We were told the rooms were being renovated and the pool was being repaired. Fast forward to this year and the pool was still being repaired and the room we had this year wasn't renovated. When we got to the room, we found it already inhabited by several flies. It smelled musty, and it looked run down. The curtain was askew and there was a large rust spot in the bathtub to name a few issues. The door to the room had to be forcefully pushed or kicked open because it stuck. We also had to chase a large Palmetto bug around the room one night because it scurried behind the headboard and I couldn't sleep knowing it was back there. The property itself also looks rundown. The "continental" breakfast was nothing but sugary options. The best part of the stay was the friendly and helpful man at the front desk when we checked in. I regret not remembering his name. But when housekeeping didn't bring us extra towels he got some for us. He also immediately brought a new remote for the TV when we discovered ours didn't work. Unfortunately, that's not enough to bring us back to this location.

The room had paint on the floor water stains underneath the sink. The shower was all rusted and looked gross. The paint on the walls were peeling

This particular Econo Lodge was terribly dirty, we found old socks under our mattress, wiping the desk and nightstand upon arrival with paper towels, it came back black with dirt/grime. The shower had soap scum piled onto handle and spout. The shower turned on, but did not drain. The staff made sure to give us other room keys so we could shower each day, but it was very inconvenient, and each shower was just as dirty as the first. However, the second day we went to shower in the second room they gave us, we went to open the door, and the room had been given to someone else overnight and our key had not been deactivated, so we opened the door on someone else!!! There were multiple flies in the room when we first entered it, but Thankfully no other bugs/creatures were found during our stay, besides the shy motel kitty. Listing also said there would be a pool, but it was empty and unusable our entire stay. My boyfriend did spent more time on the property than I did, and said the staff was pleasant to deal with. Overall, 4/10 experience.

I do not recommend staying here the room was very out dated, smelt bad, the bed was caved in slightly , hard as a rock, had a hole in it. The pictures online doesn't match how it actually looks.

The hotel is dirty and old.That was rushed in the bathroom.The refrigerator did not work.The bed was not a mattress.The sheets have not been changed.The towels were dit's okay if you plan on sleeping standing up and not taking a shower

The motel is very old and smelled like it too. But we were just passing by and needed a place to sleep. Surprisingly the bed and pillows were fantastic. I actually slept really well and wasn’t ready to leave. Staff was friendly.

Motel is dated and beds aren't very comfortable, but it was just a place to stop, shower and sleep and it was inexpensive
