Das Zimmer wirkte sehr dunkel. Persona unglaublich hilfsbereit jedoch hat der Check-In gegen 3pm nicht geklappt. Die Zimmer waren nicht fertig, Koffer wurden nicht auf das Zimmer gebracht und telefonisch war die Rezeption nicht erreichbar. Persönlich habe ich mit mehr unter dem prestigeträchtigen Namen „Adlon“ mehr erwartet. Preis-Leistung ist nicht gegeben. Beim Frühstück hingegen ist alles perfekt.

Unser Aufenthalt im Adlon Kempinski Berlin war leider weit entfernt von dem, was man von einem Haus dieser Kategorie erwarten würde. Bereits beim Check-in begann das Chaos. Die Rezeption war völlig überlaufen, es dauerte ewig, bis wir an der Reihe waren. Nach einer langen Wartezeit erklärte uns die Mitarbeiterin, unser Zimmer sei „sehr schön“ und im zweiten Stock gelegen. Wir fragten wie immer und überall, ob es eventuell ein schöneres Zimmer oder ein Upgrade gäbe. Sie sagte: „Ein Upgrade gibt es nicht, aber ich kann Sie in den vierten Stock verlegen.“ Das dieses Zimmer allerdings in einem abgelegenen Teil des Hotels lag, weit entfernt von den Hauptbereichen, dunkel und isoliert wirkte, erwähnte sie nicht. Von Adlon-Atmosphäre war dort nichts zu spüren – man fühlte sich fast wie in einem Nebengebäude. Dazu mussten wir fast eine Stunde auf unser Gepäck warten und zweimal anrufen. Der Concierge erklärte später, dass er die Koffer mit denen anderer Gäste verwechselt hatte. Standen unsere Sachen dann also zeitweise in einem fremden Zimmer? Da hätte also theoretisch jemand einfach etwas aus den Taschen entnehmen können – ein absolutes No-Go in einem Luxushotel. Am nächsten Tag baten wir um einen Zimmerwechsel, weil wir uns in diesem abgelegenen Trakt überhaupt nicht wohlgefühlt haben. Wir erhielten schließlich ein helleres Zimmer mit Balkon – allerdings nur gegen einen Aufpreis von 80 € pro Nacht, obwohl wir davon ausgingen, genau diese Kategorie ursprünglich gebucht zu haben.

到着して間もなくトラブルが起きました。預けた荷物がなかなか届かないのです。スーツケースの中の荷物を取り出して、すぐに外出したかったのですが……。フロントに問い合わせすると「間違いなくもう届いているから」とのこと。同じことを数回繰り返しましたが届きません。最終的に１階下の同じ場所の部屋に届け間違いをしていたことが判明しましたが、確認するのが遅く感じられました。 ただ、さすがに一流ホテルだと思ったのは、外出先から部屋に戻ると、そのことについてのお詫びのメッセージが部屋に置かれていたことです。 間違いは誰にもありますが、その時のフォローの大切さを知った出来事でした。

Stylish elegance

The hotel is very luxurious and located right on the front line facing the Brandenburg Gate. The staff and hotel facilities, along with the culinary experience, are simply perfect. The breakfast is excellent, upscale, and attentive, with a large team and an outstanding overall experience. Highly recommended.

Awesome property and service. Great breakfast - highest quality food with formal/unobtrusive service. Beautiful quiet rooms (we had 2 rooms). Convenient to S-bahn & U-bahn (subway/elevated trains). Area is very quiet at night and not a large variety of restaurants. Great location to all of Berlin’s tourist spots.

Sover nästan bättre här än hemma. Tyst luftkonditionering och bekväma sängar. Servicen är oklanderlig och frukostbuffén överdådig.

Fabulous hotel. Everything was top class and all the staff were fantastic. In my opinion, this is the best hotel in Berlin. Perfect location.

Super kann man nur Weiterempfehlen

The hotel is beautiful in a fantastic area near Brandenburg Gate. My room was very comfortable. The lobby restaurant and outdoor restaurant offer good options but are both very expensive. There is a breakfast buffet that has a multitude of options. The staff are responsive and attentive. I didn’t realize that when I booked my room I would be in a section of the hotel that is quite far away from the main hotel section. They have different elevators to access the pool requiring me to walk long passages in never ending hallways. This was actually quite stressful for me. I did have staff members go out of their way to help me so I appreciate that. If you’re up for a splurge and don’t mind spending a lot of money the location can’t be beat.

Great location next to Brandenburg Gate and within walking distance to many major attractions. The room facing the interior courtyard was incredibly quiet. Superb selections for their breakfast buffet. Highly recommend it.
