AC did not work in my room during a heatwave, my thermostat was set to high and at the lowest temperature and my room was 80°F+ for the duration of my stay

A tad expensive for the age of the hotel. Time for renos but excellent location.

Great location, pool was decent, rooms were spacious probably due for a renovation but that’s not a huge issue for me personally Only con was the room key cards were demagnetized 3 times (our stay was for four days) and they were not kept in my wallet, kind of annoying but if that’s the only issue that aint much. Older hotel. Location is great for the boardwalk. Needs to be upgraded and have the air conditioners working. Room was quit warm.

The staff were great. The location was perfect - within walking distances to the harbour and downtown area. It was nice to have a restaurant on site for a quick coffee or breakfast, or if you didn't want to leave the hotel for a meal. The hotel was kept clean; however a major renovation is desperately needed. Everything was very outdated and on our first night the towel bar in the tub fell down on my elderly mother. It was fixed right away after I addressed it with the front desk. The bathroom was spacious but lacked towel bars and hooks to hang your clothes on. By the end of our stay, the A/C was dripping ( having a hard time keeping up with the heat wave). I heard from another patron on the elevator that his room was overheated. Other than the outdated decor, I don't have any negative feedback.

We were expecting a lot less in terms of a quality suite as told to us by a friend. That was not the case we found the room a bit small, but in terms of cleanliness it was superb. A couple of items should be addressed though. There should be grab bars in the tub/shower unit along with a rubber mat to prevent falls. The towels were a bit on the thin and small side and the fact that there really isn't any towel racks there's no place to hang your towels as in our case we stayed a couple of days and there's no service for the room in which case using the same towels was a negative. We could have called housekeeping and asked for more, but if there was towel racks the towels would have dried out sufficiently for addition use. On the positive I required an extension cord to operate my CPAP and that was provided very promptly. Great location to everything Halifax has to offer.

Asked for I ng bed...got queen Told had accessible room....shower bars but there was no bar to assist getting in and out of shower. Good location. Told how to get to Boston Pizza. Went there and it is closed for renovations. Parking is difficult especially when traffic is heavy

Great location within close proximity to main attractions. Staff were very helpful, and even let me stay an extra two hours past checkout time!

Ice machine only on 1st floor. Had to drive to parking garage 1 block up to park car . Pop only available at front desk

Apart from its ideal location next to the Halifax bay’s boardwalk and restaurants, this hotel’s glory days are well behind it. From mold in its tub grouting to peeling wallpaper to outdated and tired decor, this is no longer a top rated hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly, but they are working on a sinking ship!

Dated and worn but excellent location

Close to ferries and boardwalk. Nice walk from the train station. Hotel a bit rundown Had to ask for shower curtain, bathtub mat and body gel soap.

Great central location staff was wonderful and they were able to accommodate an early check-in
