Clayton the main man at the motel is a great bloke, runs an exceptional motel.Rest of his staff and cleaners are nice people.Parkings great with a decent security fence.I work at Avon Downs NT and our entire crew stayed there the evening of our Christmas Do. Rooms are allways clean and well presented.The Motel is walking distance to a lot of varied venues for eating out/entertainment.Im very likely to return to the Burke and Wills!!!

The staff were very helpful, the room was very clean, however the rooms need queen /king size beds. Double size beds are ok, for couples, but an upgrade is needed.

We really rate the Burke & Wills. Its safe and very centrally located. Our go to booking when we travel to Mount Isa. The rooms are good and the beds are comfy.

Parking is easy & the property is gated so secure at night. Staff are all lovely. Perfect location in town so you can walk to everything. Very clean & tidy. Will definitely highly recommend & I will always stay here.

Great staff, we were just passing through on a Friday, there's a nightclub directly over the road and we felt like spent the night clubbing until 3am. I'd suggest if you are a reasonably light sleeper, dont go on a Friday or Saturday

Excellent- newly refurbished. Quiet room, excellent lighting and facilities, bathroom clean and new. Close to shops.

The advantages of this motel is the close proximity to the supermarket, club for dining and tourist information centre. The downside is the noise from the club at night and the busy roads next to the rooms.

The rooms are advertised as soundproof, this is the reason I booked at the Burke and Wills and they had a pool, the rooms are in-fact not sound proof! Complete false advertising and robbery, we didn’t get to sleep until after 3:30am after the buffs club across the road closed, I asked to change rooms the next morning as we were booked in for a 2 night stay, I was advised by Carrol ‘it is our fault for arriving late’ and ‘it's mount isa what do you expect’, some training in customer service would be beneficial, I bumped into the guests in the room next to us in the morning and they had a horrible sleep aswell, the pool was also closed. . I will never be staying here again, mould in the shower, someone else’s towels hanging in bathroom on arrival, a rude robbery.
