Great hotel

Breakfast was the best!

I often stay here as its usually the best value in Nottinham for a good, chain hotel, walking distance to the centre, with parking. I don't want to be right in the centre. For reference it took us less than 15 mins to walk back from the Castle Inn. It's right by Sainsburys (including petrol), McDonalds and a retail park. Rooms are usually good, clean with desk, small table and chair. Tea/coffee in room. Breakfast is good, have not eaten dinner there. One irritation is you do have to pay for parking £5 for 24 hrs. Will definately keep going back as long as they stay competative.

Great hotel. No complaints

This chain hotel exceeded my expectations in every way to be honest. A relative had a bad experience at a different Holiday Inn in Basildon, Essex so I wasn't expecting much. How wrong I was! This was the best chain hotel/motel experience I have had and I've stayed in a large number including the competitors. The room, booked as a standard twin, had two comfortable double beds for a start and was very spacious. Large TV and decent wifi. We opted for the inclusive breakfast and dinner which made the cost very low for what was a very nice restaurant with a great menu for both dinner and breakfast. Also the car park was on site and very secure and spacious and reasonable at £5. Also, having got a fine at a Travelodge for a brief stop whilst asking in reception about parking it was very clear what you had to do with signs in the car park and in reception. But the best thing was the staff. They were all really polite, helpful and friendly and could do enough for you really. Right from the room attendant to the Manager! So I can thoroughly recommend it for a stop over or a short break in Nottingham where in town everybody was really friendly as well. A*****

Very clean, staff friendly, had to pay a deposit of £25 on arrival which was refunded day after but I was unaware of at time of booking. Only negative was the water pressure in the shower being abysmal.

The hotel was quite nice. Friendly staff.

My only problem is the check in process, staff wasn’t professional, wasn’t friendly at the beginning but force a smile later on, not looking at guest when speaking to them , no greeting from staff to guests, no explaining the arrangements for breakfast. Been to many different hotel around the world, this is the worse.

Great stopover on the way to the Lake District. Such good value for money. Good breakfast too.

Very nice hotel, exceptionally good staff. Only problem was it’s quite a distance from the city centre. If you’re up for a trek, you could take the canal path, but not good if you have loads to carry. Would definitely stay there again and now being aware of the location would plan accordingly.
