Fint hotel, god beliggenhed og meget venligt personale. Morgenmaden var rigtig god med mange muligheder. Værelserne store og lyse, og skønt med både frisk frugt, chokolade og vin. Det eneste vi nok ville tilføje var en smule grønne planter og mere udsmykning - det var meget klinisk - men absolut velfungerende. Klar anbefaling herfra

Stort og rummelig værelse. Fantastisk udsigt. Lige ved havet.

The rooms are definitely outdated. Chipped paintwork everywhere, showerhead needs some deepcleaning (could barely wash my hair with the amount of water coming out of it). It is an expensive hotel for what you are getting.

The room was spacious and clean with beautiful view to the sea but the bed mattress was hard as a rock and pillows very uncomfortable.

The staff is way too courteous in this hotel. Valter made sure that our stay was perfect, and help us book some nice tours. Everyone was really polite and helped cover the few shortcomings the rooms had.

The hotel is great. Some staff need better training. Amenities are great too

Amazing room and amazing view.

Sehr abgewohnt, die Kinderzimmertüre und die Badezimmertüre gingen nicht zu. Teilweise waren nach Regen Handtücher im ganzen Haus aufgelegt da das Wasser reingeronnen ist. Der tv ging 2 Tage nicht und einer der Aufzüge streikte. Punkten kann das Hotel mit dem Personal, dass sehr freundlich war. Im Großen und Ganzen war es auch sauber aber nicht perfekt. ( zu wenig Personal??) für ein 5 Sterne Hotel, etwas besseres erwartet.

Great staff

Mitarbeiter, gerade an der Rezeption herausragend freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider sinddie Zimmer bereits stark in die Jahre gekommen. Wir konnten zum Glück ein upgrade zu einem angemessenen Preis für die renovierten Zimmer bekommen. Hier hatte sich eine Mitarbeiterin ganz besonders toll engagiert, um es möglich zu machen. Das Frühstück ist groß und es gibt einiges an Auswahl. Leider ist es sehr laut, auf der Terrasse ist es besser. der Kaffee aus dem automaten ist furchtbar. Lage ist top, da man fast alles zu Fuß erreichen kann.

Överlag bra boende. 5 sjärnigt hotell ska dock ha bättre aircondition, hade den på 16 grader och kylde knappt. Hissarna strulade en hel del.

The property as well as the team was amazing!

The property was clean, convenient location walkable to funchal main areas, view from room was 6* if you want an ocean view you wont beat it. Bed was comfortable and housekeeping were great. Cons: it is very plain and sterile. There is not personality or atmosphere. It does not feel like 5*Luxury, other than view I would rate it more of a 2.5 star. The food was okay, buffet didnt really have much change so it became very repetitive after a while and we ended up spending money to eat out. The grill restaurant was awesome.

Very nice resort. Clean and big rooms. Breakfast and dinner buffet with a lot variety of food. During our stay was my wife birthday and the management of the resort surprise us with a cake and a bottle of sparkling wine. The resort is in good central location. Thank you so much Vidamar Resort for making us felling at home.

A fabulous location with seafront rooms , pros are the views, standard of rooms (large and well appointed ) , location's convenience, helpful staff but as many have said out-weighted by the cons. Huge sprawling hotel more like a conference centre with a sterile atmosphere , very little entertainment in the evening, and at £1700 for a week I would have expected free parking and half board / all inclusive which we didnt get. Food was very average, and dining staff willing but disorganised we tried the buffet and Italian restaurant and concluded better value was to be had out in the town. Would not return, poor value.
