I was disappointed with my stay at Days Inn in Penticton.
The complimentary breakfast was by far one of the biggest letdowns. In a region known for its incredible fresh fruit, it was surprising to see canned fruit being served instead. The breakfast selection was extremely limited and felt like the absolute bare minimum. To top it off, the coffee was some of the worst I've had at a hotel.
Unfortunately, the customer service wasn't much better. Check-in felt impersonal, as the front desk staff remained on a phone call while assisting us. At check-out, the same lack of attention continued, with staff focused on their computer rather than acknowledging guests. It left us feeling more like an interruption than valued customers.
The room itself was a mix of old and new. While parts of the bedroom appeared to have been updated, the floors were dirty and sandy upon arrival, and the bathroom was noticeably outdated with visible signs of mold. The partial renovations couldn't make up for the lack of cleanliness and overall maintenance.
Overall, this stay did not meet expectations. With Penticton offering so many great accommodation options, I would choose to stay elsewhere on my next visit.
