We stayed here a couple of weeks ago on a fairly quiet Monday night.
It was our family of four ( myself , partner , 5 year old and baby) .
We were greeted by a lovely receptionist that was really so helpful. It's not our first time here so we didn't need to much info. We went up to our room which was situated on the first floor.
It was quite a small room (we could barely fit the pram in), it was quite dated and run down. The room was reasonably clean but it could have been a bit cleaner. If we had of known how tight it was going to be we would of probably upgraded.
We had lunch in the lounge , it was lovely and the service was great.
We went for a swim in the unsupervised pool , it was lovely and we had the pool to ourselves.
We went for dinner in the Italian , we went into the restaurant to be then told we were in the bar part which was fine. The man that served us wasn't overly friendly and at times could be a bit short. The food was fantastic and served reasonably quickly.
The next morning we went for breakfast and it was a bit of a disaster.
We asked for a decaf latte and a pot of coffee , we received a pot of tea and a large black decaf coffee. We ordered our breakfast (both full Irish) and a children's scrambled egg and sausage) not only was it tiny but it took 30 mins to come out as they seemed to serve everyone around us first even though we were there first. This was quite stressful as our children were getting fed up.
After breakfast we went for a swim again before check out. Unfortunately the towels hadn't been replaced in the pool and it clearly hadn't been cleaned.
We've stayed here a few times and never had any issues so it was a real shame this time around.
