Older hotel, very charming. Great location close to everything. Our room was a suite with a bedroom, living room and bath. Bedroom had no plugs for phone, bed was almost on the floor and the pillows were just the worst. Older bathroom but it was clean. No washcloths provided. Overall, it was good and we loved the location.

The hotel is less than 5 mins walk to San Marks, very convenient location. Water ferry and water taxi are less than 10 minutes walk. A lot of shops and restaurants and the walk at night next to water was very relaxing.

Everything, including the breakfast, was wonderful. My only suggestion is to amend the hotel name listing. We walked in circles looking for “San Marco Palace” but the sign outside says “Hotel Royal San Marco”

It’s not a king size bed it is actually two bed together. I did NOT like that.

Very nice! Good service and nice breakfast. Very good location. But the bathtub wasn't really clean. All staff was really nicely dressed big plus.

The apartment I stayed in was very large. It has a rustic feel with older decor / furniture as described. The breakfast was included and had good selection but was very busy in the mornings. The location was great very close to all the tourist attractions and not too far to walk from the boat with suitcases.

Spacious, clean, great breakfasts. Front desk staff ver helpful with transportation information and coordination.

The hotel staff were very friendly and it c9mes with breakfast. The room was tiny, the bed was small and very low to the frou d and had lots of springs. The show was so tiny you cant even move. O er all it was clean and in a good location near everything. We would stay there again.

Stayed here for 3 days for wedding anniversary as we got married around the corner 18 years ago. Read the reviews but didn’t take much notice which was a good job as I’m sure they must have stayed somewhere else ! Venice is obviously not a new place so any establishments are going to have character, this hotel has plenty of this. The property is very close to St Marks Square which we arrived at on a vapperoto from the airport being the best way, short walk across the square to he hotel which is quite hidden but easily found. Entrance around the corner from the canal and quite opulent with friendly welcoming staff who speak many languages. Quickly shown up to the room in the lift while staff went by stairs to be first, facilities explained and shown around the apartment. All ares immaculate and clean in keeping with the age of the building, cosy and good lighting if needed. Mini bar if required with fridge and safe in the room. Comfortable beds and great bathroom with plenty of complimentary washing bits. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room which has many entrances and open from 7.00 till 10.00 can be busy but always plenty of space for us. Good choice of continental and bacon and eggs with 2 great coffee and juice machines. All staff were friendly and polite always happy to have a chat about any issues. Wonderful place to stay and also have their own restaurant and bar right next to the canal. Cannot recommend this establishment enough super stay !!!!

Our suite was amazing. I couldn't believe how big it was. The balcony also was huge. The furnishings were not as impressive as the space, but still nicely done and very comfortable. The bathroom also was wonderful with adequate hot water and good water pressure (although I must add that hot water did not work for one evening, but a quick call to the receptionist took care of the problem). Then there was the breakfast buffett, which was plentiful and yummy. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of everything and a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's Cathedral. Wonderful restaurants are right outside the hotel door, and lots of great shopping as well. What a find. We'll definitely be back.
