The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our initial room (booked a superior) was very small and claustrophobic. When we spoke to the team, we were offered a much larger room which we switched to from the 2nd night and this room was very good. The air conditioning and naturally sheltered aspect of the room was very welcome during the exceptionally hot weather (40+ degrees). The only slight downside was the location which whilst it worked for us in terms of sightseeing (on foot) did have groups of men (of all ages) hanging around, with some drinking, and whilst there were no specific incidents, it could feel a little intimidating to walk through or past the groups and this was a regular occurrence, each afternoon and evening. Other than that we had a great stay overall, Paris is beautiful and the vast majority of the locals are just great. It was our second trip to Paris and we’d recommend it for a city break.
