my recent stay at a Best Western hotel booked through Expedia was not pleasant.
Upon arrival, I specifically asked the front desk to place me in a quiet room, I am a light sleeper and am particularly sensitive to noise when trying to rest, which is why I specifically requested a quiet room upon arrival.. I was initially assigned a room at the back of the hotel where the air conditioning was not functioning properly.
When I reported the issue, I was told that maintenance would not change rooms. This was around 9:00 PM, when I was already exhausted and expecting to rest.
The maintenance person came and spent some time in the room attempting repairs, but the solution was inadequate, and I was told to keep the AC on auto mode. I explained that this was not acceptable for sleeping and requested a room change again. Only after insisting was I moved to another room.
Unfortunately, the second room was also unsuitable. I experienced loud door banging and constant footsteps
This stay did not meet basic standards for comfort, rest, and customer care. I made reasonable requests which were not properly handled by the hotel, and the situation significantly affected my ability to sleep and enjoy my stay.
Because of these issues, I am requesting a refund for this booking
