Great breakfast

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Clean, spacious rooms, a beautiful view, and a large, well-maintained swimming pool. The atmosphere on the beach was calm and relaxing (not too crowded), with stunning sunsets. And not least, the staff were absolutely wonderful—so attentive and friendly. A special thanks to the floor manager at the restaurant, Damith, who made sure the youngest members of our family got exactly the food they wanted. Also a big thank you to Rashmika, who cleaned our room and created super fun towel creations for our children. :)

Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Not enough beds around the pool area, some guests were on the floor!.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful location, highly recommended

My family ( 2 Adults , 1 infant , 1 kid ) loved the 5 night / 6 day stay at Taj Bentota for many reasons : - Quality of service was excellent . Sam , Nuwan , Ravindra at the Palms restaurant made sure we felt at home. Room Boy Gagan treated the kids with his artistic work every time he cleaned the room. - Exceptional food at the Palms restaurant. Chefs Paramesh and Dalip Singh prepared great Indian vegetarian food for us. They took extra efforts to make sure baby food for my infant was absolutely home like, every single day! Sri Lankan food suggested by Chef Dalip was top notch . - Fun activities kept us engaged . Aqua aerobics coach Janaka made sure we lost some calories gained at the Palms . Face painting & other kids activities kept them happy . - Clean water at the pool & easy beach access . - The tease bar had live music during the evenings while we sipped our drinks to pleasure. This place comes highly recommended from my family ! Happy vacationing !

The property is in an incredible location with breathtaking views. Even though it’s on a public beach, it still felt super exclusive and private. The staff were absolutely amazing at making us feel welcome and taking care of us. The hospitality was top-notch fromthe duty manager, to every single staff member, including the restaurant staff who went above and beyond to pamper us. One of the chefs, was incredible. They made dishes that weren’t even on the menu, and they tasted way better than anything I’ve ever had before. In the end, they were the friendliest and most hospitable staff we’ve ever had, and they made our stay absolutely incredible.

The Taj Bentota is a very big hotel right in the beach. The pool area is spectacular with plenty of space and sunbeds. The breakfast is excellent with something for everyone. We didn’t have supper in any of the restaurants but did have some very good pool bar snacks and drinks. There are lots of excellent seafood restaurants just outside the hotel entrance gates, across the railway track. Overall I would definitely recommend the Taj Bentota and ALL the staff but especially the Duty Manager Mahinda.

Bentota is a beautiful spot, the atmosphere is good need some DJ beats around the pool and service was great the seafood hut snack absolutely amazing.

Great Resorts, and True Hospitality.

Lot of renovations going on, no area to even sit down , very crowded , noisy, and dusty.

Good place to spend decompressing from 2 week stay.

It is a very quiet property with beautiful surroundings and a great view of the beach. Very clean also. However, the age of the property shows.

This hotels needs up gradation as the property is getting old. Lifts r smelly. Bathroom tiles r stained.

A beautiful hotel with stunning views but what makes this hotel so exceptional is the staff. They are extremely attentive and friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. It was my birthday and I had my room decorated for me and two cakes delivered! I’m also pregnant and Sam, a waiter, ensured there was decaf coffee available for me. Gayan, our room attendant was brilliant and also made the best towel animals! Food was good, rooms are spacious, beds are comfy and swimming is big! Only thing id say, is that the gym could do with some aircon! Brilliant stay!!

Very good service, attention and service minded personell. They offered us late checkout so we could continue enjoying the pool and have a nice lunsj. Only think to point on is the sound proofing around the doors could be better.
