The beds were way too soft according to my preferences. It felt like laying down on a bumpy castle. The beds were also very narrow so not really enough space for two people. I had my one year old with me, and none of us got any sleep, but kept waking each other up every time one of us moved. I asked for a baby’s traveler bed upon arrival, but was told that only the cleaning staff were able to find them. The reception promised to check, however, but never got back to me.
The breakfast was tasty, but the waitresses seemed more interested in talking with each other than helping out their guests. I think we waited for almost 10 minutes before one of them turned their back around so that they could see that they had guests standing there waiting. When you’re hungry and with a baby on your arm, waiting 10 minutes for even being able to ask for a baby chair feels like a tremendously long time.
Next time in Karlstad I’ll sleep somewhere else.
