I would highly recommend this hotel it’s central to everything you need. Fabulous room ( blocked toilet again 2 stay). The staff were amazing very friendly, breakfast was fabulous.

The hotel was in a perfect location for what we wanted. It was quiet overnight but an easy walk to the canal basin area and the Rep theatre. The tram stop nearby was also useful on a hot day. The only downside was a lack of air conditioning in the room.

Great hotel to stay if going to an event. No aircon we complained about heat in room said would put fans in Our room guess what no fans ! Breakfast plentiful lots of choice.

The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the room itself was hot and stuffy, with air vents that did nothing to cool the room, despite asking for staff to come and look at it. Due to this, we both had an absolutely awful night's sleep and will be glad to get home.

We found the location of the hotel for a tourist 4 night short break to visit the Museum, library, Jewelry quarter and canal walks was excellent. The tram from New Street station was just a few stops arriving very close to the hotel. Most places we visited we could walk to, we also caught the bus from nearby Broad Street. Our room on the first floor was clean and comfortable. We didn't pay extra for a view but it was pleasant enough. I am quite picky about smaller details of room design that dont quite work or are missing, like hooks in the bathroom for hand towels or clothes, but had no complaints. We needed a few extra hangers which housekeeping promptly brought. A bit disappointed the TV wasn't smart, as we wanted to watch a series we are midway through, but not a problem. The staff were all friendly and helpful and worked hard to make us comfortable. We had breakfast included and it was definitely worth it. An excellent range of options, well cooked. The only missing ingredient was nuts, but lots of places don't have them due ro allergies. We heard others complimenting the breakfast too. We had one dinner in the hotel which was ok, but found better places to eat nearby, with Brindley Place surrounded by restaurants and bars and a lively nightlife at the weekend by the canal - not so close that it will disturb your sleep. There is also a small market on Saturday with handmade crafts and vinyl record sellers. Lovely weather made it a very pleasant stay.

Nice clean room, the super king bed was really comfortable. Location right on Broad Street, exactly what we were looking for.

When I had booked this hotel the details on hotel.con suggested the property had AC. Upon my arrival we were told the AC was not working. We were supposedly placed in a room which was on the cooler side of the building. We spent 30 mins in the room with the thermostat showing 30 degrees. I then called reception to complain however they did not answer the telephone. Then had to go all the way down and apparently we were placed in the warmer side of the building? Room was moved and the thermostat in the new room showed 28 degrees. Honestly, I paid premium to be in a hotel with AC, I could’ve been in a cheaper hotel without AC. Absolutely ridiculous!

Two minute walk to the lively restaurants and Bars, Hotel has its own car park underneath with a multi-storey across the side road. Enjoyed the relaxation at the hotel which had its own bar and restaurant and prices were reasonable. We would visit again.

Partner booked an extra night to make it saturday Sunday, unfortunately hotel only mentioned their air con was not working at check in ,room during night was 36 degrees ,was offered ice & free breakfast ,left after saturday night & didn't stay Sunday, apparently air con had been off for few days by time I arrived

Fab hotel, well positioned, great staff, comfortable beds, great products in bathroom, and 20% off bar if going to concert at Utilita which was us!! Would return when next in Birmingham

Great hotel

The hotel air conditioning hadn't been working in over a week. The room we stayed in for 35.5 when we arrived ot was far to hot and uncomfortable to sleep. I only booked this the night before this should have been on the website advising it wasn't work.

Unfortunately the AC was not working during the heatwave of last weekend which I understand does happen but I had phoned on the Wednesday to check there was no problem and was told there wasn’t unfortunately this seems to have been a lie we was given two fans but they was not enough it was stifling and hard to sleep the two nights we was there .Calin on the reception was exceptional helpful at all times but there is only so much he could do .maybe a offer on discount on the cold drinks at the bar would of been nice . But I will go back but I will definitely check the AC is on and hope that they don’t lie to me again

Friendly staff. Great sized rooms. Excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, property advertised as having air conditioning which is only available in the lobby areas. Rooms only have a type of climate control that does not help with extremes of weathers. They did signpost on arrival that all cooling systems were down which was unfortunate due to the heatwave present.

No air conditioning working.

The air conditioning was broken and my room ranged between 30 and 32 degrees even with the window open and a fan. The staff did what they could but don't stay there in this heatwave unless it's been fixed.
