Awful experience with the manager , very rude! Offered a refund for the early check in but not for the one nights stay I didn’t stay for, due to several issues

From the moment you arrive staff are friendly and polite rooms are clean. I cannot say a bad word about this Hotel it was just amazing from start to finish

An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price.

Courteous and helpful staff, clean room and spa, excellent facilities. great service in the dining room and room service. Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend's stay - wish I'd booked for longer!

After paying a or for a room, then having to pay £12 to park and an additional £15 to use the gym I thought was excessive. Then the bed in the room was covered in long black hair so ended up moving rooms. Dealt with well, and was given a much nicer room, but then did question the cleanliness

Very clean hotel & excellent staff. Also good breakfast. Only negative point, thermostat in room 402 did not turn off the blower heating completely so room was too hot overnight

Room nice but cold and couldn’t work heating easily . Staff polite and Michael in the restaurant was fabulous. Fresh milk for brews nice touch

Staff were friendly and helpful, on arrival the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly there were still hairs on the bathroom floor, the shower didn’t have much pressure. The gym was good with decent facilities but the sauna and steam room were really busy right up until the closed. The changing rooms were really dirty, floors soaking wet with wet wipes laying around. It was an ok stay but didn’t feel like it was value for money because of the negatives mentioned above

Amazing hotel, adequate spa. Whilst the pool is slightly warmed it quickly turns cold and it is missing a jacuzzi badly. Service in the hotel is second to none, every meal was lush and breakfast especially good. All the staff were courteous and prompt with any request. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat, just leave the trunks at home.

Nice hotel. Modern room with a decent bed. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Disappointed to find that when you book through Expedia you have to pay extra at the hotel to use the pool and spa (£30 I think it was). I think you also pay extra for parking although the hotel waived that for us. So that why I downgraded to 3 stars (Expedia needs to make it clearer when you book).

Room was nice, bathroom at bit tired. Breakfast could of been better.

The staff

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The highlight for us were the friendly and helpful staff in every department from checking in, to the bar staff, breakfast staff and those in the Spa. We were very impressed, you choose your staff well, 1st class. We really enjoyed spending the day in the Spa, excellent pool.

Room is has a double bed and not a king size bed. Shower temp keeps changing while using it as it goes from warm to boiling hot randomly. Otherwise it’s a nice hotel in a great location

Not happy with the extra charges for parking and use of the leisure facilities. In future I will stay in a hotel that keeps their services inclusive within their price.

On arrival, there was no communication about times for dinner. I found out by chance that no food is served after 8.30pm. Other customers were asking for food in the restaurant and were turned away.
