Nice clean room, staff were great. And the food was great. Would definitely stay here again.

lovely hotel superbly clean on all fronts

This is an excellent hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I noticed how conscientious and hard-working the restaurants and bar staff were in particular. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed a delicious roast tomato soup and local ice cream. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time in a hotel. I booked a small single room as I was only stay one night while doing the Hadrian‘s Wall walk. The room was very small and probably could do with a bit of decor touching up but it was clean and fine for just one night and very good value for the price.

Excellent hotel good easy parking great breakfast selection and helpful staff

The quality of the breakfast was excellent with local quality produce where possible and the staff were helpful and polite. Good onsite private parking. Unfortunately the room was poor, on the second floor in the attic with sloping roof, it felt claustrophobic. The Bed was a small double the tv was small the bathroom was tiny with nowhere to put washbag etc. basically ok as a single but not a double. It was also extremely hot with only a small window for ventilation.

We all enjoyed our stay.

Rooms are newly decorated,comfortable and with coffee/ tea facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar area and 2 outdoor seating areas were pleasant. Walking distance of town( think there’s also a bus). Breakfast was great ( and especially friendly/ helpful staff). Evening meal was a bit disappointing.

We had a very comfortable stay and there was a good selection of food for breakfast - hot and cold. Also had an evening meal there - again very good and staff attentive.

We enjoyed the breakfast and had a lovely meal on Friday night. The room was comfortable would definitely stay again if we visited Carlisle again.

We stayed in the Sowing Room which was lovely and quirky, but it was up 3 flights of stairs and because of the quirkiness of the room both myself and partner bumped our heads when getting in and out of the bed and putting the lamp on. The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice no complaints there. We had very little interaction with staff but the staff we did interact with were lovely.

Staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, hotel was a bit tired and room only had one socket point so it meant a daily juggle of plugging in devices, kettle, hair dryers etc. as although the socket point had two sockets one was constantly needed for the fan as the room was stifling hot without it

A very convenient hotel for exploring the city of Carlisle. Excellent car park. Staff were pleasant and helpful. They did their best in the recent hot weather providing fans for the guest rooms.

Room was warm and stuffy so I had to open the windows and use the fan. Clean hotel with an excellent breakfast. Many options to choose from and the staff was lovely.

Smoke detector/firealarm went off at 07:10
